Hopefully the bench will tip things towards us instead.
The problem is that Gatland hasn't emptied his bench really in either test other than when his hand was forced (i.e. front row, Warburton injury, etc). I really doubt he'll cycle the the bench a la Lancaster.
Pity SHers need that video to show how good BOD was.
Best centre ever - nearest competition was Umaga. And we know how that ended. Still shameful.
I think it's a bad mistake to drop him. He's clearly the captain, no matter what the selectors think - same thing goes for Ireland when Heaslip took over. Without his defence the opposition attack will crack Davies at will. At this stage BOD is a minimalist in attack - he only wants the ball when he knows he can make the difference, otherwise he's just directing the operation across the pitch.
Overall the Lions needed to set up for attack, but they've gone for grunt. It may win, but if O'Connor gets on with AAC there will be several tries for the home team.
Completely agree. Would it be fair to say that BOD has been the Lions defensive captain since 2001 much like how Brad Barritt is for England?
