Aren't the F-35's pretty reliant on US tech support and updates for some nations dependant on service level agreement.

Did hear that the US threatend to pull F-35 tech support on one country thus making them useless bricks.

On intelligence the UK was stupid enough to pass on a lot of it's assets (sources) to the CIA becoming reliant on information sharing. Hindsight being a wonderful thing.

It really is hindsight though i don't think it's fair for anyone to predict the USA becoming such a unreliable partner so rapidly. Trumps an unpredictable ass but he wasn't anywhere near this bad in 1.0 form.

Lots of stuff on the F-35 is manufactured in the UK and in other countries. It wouldn't be as simple as switching it off.

Trump and Vance were a pair of *****, Rubio looked like he didn't want to be there and Zelensky stood his ground as best as he could.

Marjorie Taylor-Green's boyfriend asked a stupid question, which Zelenskyy refused to get worked up about.
Vance then turned it into an attack on Zelenskyy, despite things not going to script. The attack was that Zelenskyy hadn't been thankful enough to Trump for... selling Ukraine out to Russia.
After a minute or two Trump woke up and poured petrol onto the fire. Zelenskyy had the gall to point out that Putin keeps breaking signed treaties, and that he didn't trust him to keep his word this time, hence Zelenskyy wanting meaningful security guarantees. Trump got annoyed, because Putin respects Trump, and that's all the guarantee that's needed.

Then Trump kicked Zelenskyy out of the white house for refusing to hand over his lunch money - and said that he could come back when he was willing to say nice things about Putin.

If you want much more than that, the main exchange was only about 7 minutes (and posted on here) with plenty of others analysing things in various levels of detail.

Rubio looked like he didn't want to be there.

Oh yeah, forgot that bit - Rubio tried to disappear into the sofa like Homer Simpson into the hedge - given that he was sharing a sofa with Vance, that might not have been the best hiding place.

But this is the world we live in. Political leaders will directly lie despite the fact there is a live video contradicting them and people will still believe them.
