The Lions squad for 2021 prediction

So looshead is decided
Jones, Vunipola and Sutherland?

Wouldn't be surprised if Genge was messing about not getting a letter, if he wasn't and Sutherland us indeed crocked, you'd imagine it's Healy next up and after that I might get a call.

Wouldn't be surprised if Marler was either...

I reckon the players' letters will include a warning to keep it buttoned and that any leaks risk punishment e.g. flying to SA in economy or rooming with Dan Biggar (hence no leaks so far).

"I remember sitting down talking to (former Ireland hooker) Rory Best on that tour. He said he regretted the way he'd approached 2013 and the memories he had of it.

It was pretty obvious from the start that he wasn't going to make the Test team and he let those feelings become bitter and cloud his enjoyment of the whole experience.

"And he wanted to make sure that in 2017, the midweekers didn't make the same mistake that he did. And there was part of that for me in 2017.

"It was pretty obvious from the start that I wasn't going to get a sniff of the Tests and I was a bit of a s*** at times. I regret having those feelings towards it.

"I still had an unbelievable experience and the friends I made for life, but I'd have liked to have gone back this time around and would have tried to help out."

If you are Warren Gatland, would you go: 'It's a pretty tight bubble, nine weeks away, it's already tough enough as it is, do I need someone who's got form of struggling mentally and away from home?'," Marler said.

"Is that the right person to have on that tour? Probably not. Who knows? Maybe it's because there are better players than me.

"There are pretty good players in the loosehead position before having to consider someone who hasn't played international rugby for 12 months and has got form of not being that good at not being away from home."

IDK personally I feel that not playing for the six nations did hurt him, if anything it gave Gatland a chance to see who does well in the bubbles etc.

Could potentially be a reason for Genge who I think spoke about how hard it was.

Agreed. He 1 million % would've got a letter if he had even just got some minutes off the bench in the 6N. He probably would've toured.

Really can't see Smith, Care or Simmonds going. I'd love for them to get game time for England but they aren't the best out of our home nations.

Sexton, Biggar and Russel to tour we don't need smith.

Murray, Davies and Price for me probably at SH and

Surely it's CJ and Falateu at 8. Although Simmonds would make an amazing sub, what about Bearnie, Navidi, Curray, Watson, underhill before him at flanker.

Just don't see it.

That Torygraph headline talks about another bolter 'not currently playing international rugby'. That could fit Smith or Care, but I wonder about Kruis.
