PGA this week, the 4th major but still a major so I'll be glued.

This is Rory's course, a 4 time winner and on average .92 shots a round better than the field. The major stress should be less on him than recently too to say the least. Hard to win back to back but he's in the mix.

Not really a course for an upset. If it happens it'll be a long hitter. Think Min Woo Lee or Rasmus Hojgaard, maybe Ludvig.

Most experts are backing Scottie, Rory, Bryson v the field and I find it hard to disagree.

So Scottie has this, at least I was right and happy a proper player won it. There was a risk of this bring a fake major.

Rory came in way too relax and had to change ddiver after wear won't happen at either of the Opens where he has something to prove.

To get real nerdy and continue to talk to myself, the PGA has again failed to pick a major venue. It always feels like a regular PGA venue with a jacked field and it's the only one that brings out the journeymen. They need to make it international, bring it to Ireland, Spain, France, Oz, Asia and/or the middle east (even though I don't love sport there) and it'd be a better tournament.

Open Championship this week last major of the year (which is way too early, the PGA needs to move back to August on non Olympic years) and the best viewing experience in golf in my opinion. Heading up for round 1 on Thursday.

The Open is probably the most difficult to predict as conditions and tee times can be incredibly relevant in a player's ability to score.

Rory is coming off a t2 yesterday and looked to only have his b/c game in doing so. If he gets the driver going properly this week he should be dangerous, the putter was a weapon this week until the colder weather really ****** the greens on Sunday and putting required a good amount of luck.

Don't think Scottie is used to links greens yet but will always be a factor as the best tee to green player on earth.

Jon Rahm loves a links course too and has form both recently on LIV and in the majors this year.

Niemann's flat ball flight could do damage also, it'll be about him getting over his early round major struggles and adapting to the greens.

Schauffele showed a bit of something and might be a factor.

Lowry won and Koepka and Fleetwood went well around here last time, all have varying levels of good form recently but I don't think any are ready for the mental battle.

Aberg likes a links and looks to be coming back into form and same with Hovland.

Bryson on a hard, windy course shouldn't be a factor.

Absolutely wide open, one of the best venues in major golf, I can't wait. I think Rory is my favourite, the career grand slam and winning a major in his home country would be the best year of his career and probably unmatchable.

Thursday looks like a wet and windy day which I' not disappointed about, that's Open viewing at it's best. Saturday also looks wet but, like Friday and Sunday the wind won't be as fierce.

Gameplan will be to not put yourself out of it on Thursday and make your move for position on Friday and Saturday.

Been so good he's taken putting out the equation. Maybe he gets arrested again for Rory to sneak it.

Was up on Thursday, incredible place and event. Those guys are stupid good at this game. I'm an 8 handicap and would be happy to shoot +25 on that set up.

US Ryder Cup Team: Scheffler, Spaun, Schauffele, Henley, Dechambeau, English, Thomas, Morikawa, Griffin, Young, Burns, Cantlay.

Keegan doesn't pick himself. Right call and the US are red hot favourites as a result.

Donald picks next Monday, if he picks Matt Fitz I'll be pretty resigned to defeat. He's the second worst ryder cup player to have played in multiple cups since it became Europe v US in the 1970s, only Fuzzy Zoeller who played his last cup in 85 is worse (9 matches for 1 point vs 8 matches for 1 point) and only because he was selected for one more match in the same amount of appearances.

Looking forward to this. Convinced myself Europe have a chance Ridiculous because the team being at home is such a massive advantage.
If this is another blowout the rules need to change re course set up. With the information and stats out there currently it's far too much of an advantage.

Europe have a chance, outside of Scheffler they have better and more big time players imo and then Europe almost always have the better team environment.

Just hope Dechambeau stinks the place out, he's so full of ****.

15-13 Europe - part of my prediction is based on the teams and part of it is based on the fact that it’s about time there was a close Ryder Cup. I personally think Europe have a very good side this time so if they’re not at least a viable chance come Sunday then to me that would indicate that teams’ exploiting of home advantage has gone too far. I can see the US having a narrow lead after two days but us getting them in the singles - a bit like Medinah but not as dramatic. Having Donald as captain gives me confidence.

Think tomorrow is crucial. We need to be either in front or close. The crowd are highly likely to get on the back of team USA if they are down.

I think we possibly have the more in form players, and Ryder Cup animals. But I'm not as confident of a European win as I was. Think home advantage is too much of a boost.

Yup it where the American's usually come undone and have to pull it back in fourballs.

I'm just hoping there's 3-4 points in it come Sunday one team having a slight advantage make it the most exciting.
The home team usually dominates foursomes. Fourballs are generally more even.
