The behaviour on this Forum

*Yorkshire Accent*

Don't forget t'rolls you get in Greggs up in Barnsley

One of the things I don't like is when there is clearly a couple of members being disruptive and the mods decide to lock the thread and ruin the discussion for everyone. It would be great if Mods could just stop certain members from posting in certain forums.

One idea would be to create a troll forum where you are allowed to post whatever you like and where there are no rules. Another idea would be mark to mark certain thread as "no troll" threads where any off topic posts would be deleted and you would risk a ban.

Just wanted to apologize for some of the earlier comments I made in a World Cup thread towards the English, it wasn't called for and not fair or true. Apologies, I enjoy posting here and don't want any hard feelings.

Took some banter too harshly. Cheers guys.

Thank you Kiwi

I love this forum, I only post occasionally as I prefer to read the views and information others bring.
And because I worry that my posts won't really add anything compared the immense rugby knowledge of others.

So when a thread just descends into crap slinging, it's hard to want to even read the forum, let alone consider posting.

Really appreciate your post here, and I am sure there are others posters who will also be honest in questioning themselves to make sure our forum is a good place for all.

I agree with you on the spirit behind your post but, must confess, the "cynicism" built in me by life (and to a lesser degree participation of some on this forum) led me to believe that @kiwi_ was being somewhat ironic or tongue in cheek!! If it was, indeed, an honest statement by him then good on him............!!

It's all honest mate, no tongue and cheek. Another posters actions and behavior made me realize how embarrassing acting like that can be.

"Chapeau" as they say here...or bonza as they say down your part of the world!!

Having come to the forum recently, I really like it here, but the occasional animosity is a bit weird. Not sure what the issues are fundamentally, but I do think a small step that might help would be to get rid of the flags under everyone's username- I like the club symbols, but the flag does immediately highlight people's nationality, and then that tends to get focused on, e.g. accusations of bias, minor racism/stereotypes, etc.

Not sure that would change anything as the posts would easily identify the nationality of the poster!!!

Tbh, I've yet to see a rugby forum that didn't break into occasional bouts of nationality based arguments, or in some cases, permanent bouts of said.

I think people are pretty much straight down the line, only pointing those kind of comments out when they are genuine... people seem to think it's fine to call the english poms, arrogant and cast every other sterotype at us, but scream blue murder if you question any other nations intentions....

the behaviour has gone to pot lately though, like Peat said all forums have those moments but with even mods wading into it all guns blazing it's deffo difficult to get decent conversation going.

I've yet to see any kind of forum if I'm being honest.

MotherRucker1 was the worst case of internet abuse I've ever come across. My inbox literally has 30+ unanswered PM's of insanity, he made multiple accounts just to abuse me. Keep an eye out for new users, could be him.

Yep you can call a Englishman a whinging pom or a Frenchman a frog, yet if you describe a indigenous Australian as a black fella its a two week ban.

Admins, can you not IP ban this lunatic? It's really past the point of trolling, to psychotic. Death threats and everything.

In the process of doing so!
Unfortunately the latest update removed some permissions for the staff and IP banning was one of them =/ Just got to sort that, shouldn't take long hopefully
