I really don't like to see touch judges jumping in on such marginal calls. I guess he was on the spot to his credit but you'd just have to be incredibly sure to call that back - so many passes in the game go more forward than that one.

What are they there for then? To stand under the posts?

Lions making errors when they're hot on attack. ABs truly tested here.

Fox has been reading the ABs like a book all game, very good game from him

Not there to call marginal forward passes.

Thing is both touch judges are refs in their own right who have been in charge of a test and are in line with the play. I don't see much difference between being on the side or in the middle.

No but you implying still he should not be playing this week....

SOB's offence wasn't spotted in the match this was....thats just rugby I've seen plenty of YC offences not spotted. Some reds...
Like I said, ABs under the microscope. More so than the Lions.

I know what you're saying though and agree. Just unfair but its the way it goes.

I don't really know. That's what I wonder pretty regularly when you see passes going clearly forward and lineouts not straight right under their noses. I'm just making the point that touch judges sometimes jump in for pretty marginal calls whilst doing nothing on the most obvious ones.

Man you have to be going high to get a lock round the neck!
