Super Rugby: Rebels vs. Chiefs in Melbourne (03/05/2013)

yeah I only saw the Higginbothom one when I saw a reply.

absolutely crazy. there is a mowing line directly across the pitch more than meter in front of where the player passed the ball and Higginbothom caught it way way past the line. I think it was even past the next line which was the 5m line

the ball could have actually traveled further forward than it did sideways, the TMO is absolutely crazy.

the other was clearly forward as well, the ball looks like it's passed almost directly towards the camera which is clearly in front of where the players are on the field.

and there was no clear knock on for anscombes 4th try, yes he made contact with it but there is nothing to show that he lost contact with it and knocked it on at all or even that it went forward.

I think this was the worst and most bias TMO performance I've ever seen.

I am waaaay behind. Just finished watching this one, and my initial thought was that the Rebs gave away some stupideasy tries.

It ended up being a better game than I expected excitement-wise, but certainly not the prettiest.

I didn't mind Kearnsey's voice - he sounded like I have been sounding the past couple weeks. :p

I think the TMO was looking not at Anscombe's handling, but the loose ball in the turnover. A chiefs player tackled Phipps when he was trying to deliver the ball from a ruck, and the ball got dislodged. It was still a stupid decision, though.
