Yep, Ardie does have an outside shot at making the All Blacks (though June is probably too soon), but to say the others have been poor is crazy. Cane and Braid have been brilliant so far (Braid's had a couple of dodgy games in a row now though) and Todd is starting to play very well, and his form earlier in the season was by no means poor.

I didn't say those three haven't played well, just said under performed. They are much better players than what they've shown so far this season. Cane needs to find his 2012 form and Braid needs to find his 2011 form.

I think Cane is playing as well as ever, likewise I don't think Braid's been under performing at all? They're not in the spotlight as much, but that doesn't mean they haven't been performing.

No, no they are not. They have all been outstanding this year - not one of them is under-performing in the slightest. Cane is having his best season ever (he spent most of 2012 on the bench!). Luke Braid has continued his strong form from last season (he was pretty anonymous in 2011), while Todd is thriving in the absence of McCaw.

Even though the Cane/Braid form call was off base, I think he is right about Savea getting a call up. He will tour at the end of the year and I reckon he is better than both Braid and Todd, I'd pick him over them any day of the week.
