Hurricanes:
Andre Taylor, Alapati Leiua, Conrad Smith, Tim Bateman, Julian Savea, Beauden Barrett, TJ Perenara, Victor Vito/Faifili Levave, Ardie Savea, Brad Shields, Jason Eaton, Mark Reddish, Ben May, Motu Matu'u, Ben Franks.
Reserves: Ash Dixon/Reggie Goodes, Jeffery Toomaga-Allen/Reggie Goodes, James Broadhurst, Faifili Levave/Jack Lam, Chris Smylie, Tusi Pisi, Reynold Lee-Lo.

A couple of interesting changes for the Canes. Ardie Savea is set to make his much anticipated debut in the 7 jersey, while Dane Coles and Jeremy Thrush have been ruled out meaning Matu'u and Reddish start (I would have preferred Broadhurst over Reddish). Vito is also in doubt, but the backline remains unchanged.

My money is on the Canes. Tahs really haven't shown anything that makes me overly worried - other than Drew Mitchell looking good and Bernard Foley playing well.

Ardie Savea starting for tha Canes... Definitely have to see this. Go on you Canes!

NSW Waratahs:
Israel Folau, Peter Betham, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Rob Horne, Drew Mitchell, Bernard Foley, Brendan McKibbin, Pat McCutcheon, Michael Hooper, Dave Dennis (capt), Kane Douglas, Sitaleki Timani, Sekope Kepu, John Ulugia, Benn Robinson.
Reserves: Luke Holmes, Paddy Ryan, Mitchell Chapman, Wycliff Palu, Matt Lucas, Ben Volavola, Tom Kingston.

A good team on paper (as usual), though I don't rate Ulugia at hooker (as I like my hookers to be able to throw the ball in straight). If they perform to their potential (which they seldom do) it could be a close match.

Ardie Savea is playing well. Great try to Jules, too much gas for Ashley-Cooper.

Game started. 10-3 to the Canes after a great long range try to Julian Savea.

EDIT: yep Savea the younger has been good thus far (as I say that he just got penalized...).

EDIT 2: superb individual try by Foley evens it up at 13 all.

Great try by Goodes. Phenomenal skills and pace for a prop!

EDIT: Now a try by Matu'u on the wing! Great kick through by Barrett, and a good conversion too...

EDIT 2: SAVEA!! (the elder). Hurricanes dominating now.

All the hurricanes tries have been spectacular. I just hope the Canes keep it up, they can't afford to let the Tahs in again. They need to shut this game out.

Bit of a hungus there from J Savea haha but great to see him backing himself though. Love seeing big wingers like that just gunning it straight into defenders.

Good try by Folau. It is great to see the Waratahs playing a bit more expansively!

Really impressed with the Savea brothers, absolutely amazing games, but Conrad Smith as usual... Best 13 I've ever seen, just a beast in everything he does. Maybe premature but do you think if Ardie can keep it up, should he be given an All Blacks call up? Cane, Todd and Braid have all been underperforming this year.

I agree - Smith was superb. FT: 41-29 to the Canes. They certainly looked good with ball in hand, but defense remains a concern.

Only managed to catch the end of it, but a job well done by the Hurricanes. Shame that the Tahs didn't get anything out of it, there were inches away from getting 2 bonus points at the end there.

Wut.

It's like you just guess your rationale.
