Super Rugby: Hurricanes vs. Crusaders in Wellington (08/03/2013)

Baden Kerr is from Counties...

Plus, this match could easily have gone either way. I think the Crusaders actually looked much better on attack (indeed, they scored four tries!), it was just some of the reserves didn't play to the level they needed. Taylor was good value when he came on, for all of five minutes.

Ye, you are right. Baden kerr is from Counties. Must be the frustration that got the fact wrong. Maybe is time to replace Todd Blackadder

Agreed. It almost shows the difference between how far Fruean has come and how far Savea has come.

Not saying that Fruean's health hasn't created issues, but it wasn't that long after his 7's career and during the ITM cup, where Ranger left his handprint as a tattoo on Savea's face. Fruean, has been stagnant in the last 2years and Savea has developed in leaps and bounds.

Savea's taken on board what the AB's coaches have asked, and most probably the lack of influence that guys like Nonu & Weepu may have had and having the only senior backline player as Conrad Smith as an example helps too.

As much as Ranger is pretty special, I don't think he could do that twice to Savea.

This. It wasn't that long ago when Fruean looked closer to edging his way into the All Blacks than Savea did. Savea had a very quiet first season in Super Rugby, most likely why so many doubted whether he could make the step up from U20 to full international test rugby. Fruean looked deadly outside of SBW, but he has really not made the progress anyone would have hoped for looking at him 2 seasons ago.

He could still make an All Black yet, but he's got years to go before he can come close to touching Savea as he's playing now.
