Steven Shingler

No law saying they can't bring someone into training, you are right, but why would they do it?
I am not saying Scotland should be brought before the IRB for anything, but honestly why would they select a player who is tied to Wales, after all that had occurred?

Should we bring in some Scotland A players who qualify for Wales (if there are any, I don't know)? It is Scotland's second team, but hey, it's not ours.

I am not altogether sure what we are debating now. The fact of the matter is that Shingler has twice been declared ineligible, following an IRB review.

We are debating as to whether or not Scotland broke any laws.

Which they didn't.

OK. Excellent. Now, why did they name Shingler in their squad, despite his non-qualification, and then appeal once it was cleared up?

It is not cleared up, it is provisionally cleared up.

The IRB Coucil has to endorse the decision.

Know what, never mind, I give up. The SRU are obviously lying, cheating smelly ******** eh?

Yay! I win. ;)

Really now... I suppose we will wait and see for the final final ruling. It wouldn't surprise me if the IRB do rule that U20's cannot count. I just think this whole situation has gotten out of hand. Had the SRU have checked with the WRU and IRB before drafting in Shingler, this wouldn't have happened. I don't think you can blame the WRU for essentially claiming a player that they have put time and money into as their own. After the whole Jarvis and Loxton case, it has probably become a sore topic for them.

Am I still on here?

Cheers Cymro.
Just going to photoshop my head in it so I can say that I have friends.

"There's me and all my turk buddies" I'll say to myself. "What times we had."

@Iain, I don't know the store, but some places carry canned social life. You might call it 'Special Brew'.

I have certainly heard of such devices. More research is needed

Here's a science experiment you can try at home!
Buy some of these beverages and consume. Walk through town centre and report back.
Pics or it didn't happen.

Let us know how it goes.

In the least surprising decision of the year!

It was obvious right from the start they weren't going to go back on it, he'd have been better off not wasting his time/money fighting it, especially as it will have harmed any hopes for a Wales call up in his future.

This is still news? I got bored of it the minute the IRB said no for the first time. Right decission and that, regardless.
