South Africa A vs British and Irish Lions

This is the first game on tour I'm properly looking forward to.
Yeah same. Really pumped for this. It's perfect prep for us given how easy the tour has been so far. We'll clearly be on the back foot for a decent part of the game and that's when you learn more about players. All the lads will know this is their biggest chance to put their hands up for the test match next week so loads of extra spice. Can't wait. Imagine if Itoje and Henderson get thrown around like rag dolls and Gats picks AWJ and Beard for the test. He he.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Boks go a bit easy to lull the lions into a false sense of security. They can afford to lose this game and wouldn't want to risk injuries.

No way. That would defeat the whole point of this game. Why do you think Rassie is begging for the Stormers game to be cancelled and a second game on Saturday to be played?

The lull the lions into an even bigger sense of false security. You don't need to hardest possible game to see if your team is up to scratch or not.

Just doesn't happen in sports though. If you want to deprioritize a fixture you play a weak team. That's clearly not happening.

How sick would it be if Murray, De Allende and Beirne just teamed up and beat everyone up???

Even though that film is one of the biggest load of bollix ever made (including that scene above) it's still one of my favs.

I really think the superior conditioning of the Lions will help them win this game out

I hope it's a proper win. I want a win after good rugby. Not a typical Gatland win which involves kicking loads of penalties and winning by 3 points

I don't mean a cricket score. I'd rather have a 49 - 47 win with both teams scoring really good tries than a 13 - 9 win with one ok try and then penalty kicks
Ahh ok. I see.

I wouldn't be against a 49-47 win as a fan but I don't think Tandy will be very happy with shipping 47 points mind.
