Probably best to contact us directly about things like this. An account was banned today because it shared an IP with a troll account. Can you please email me at support at sidhe.co.nz?
 
Seriously guys, if you have a problem with the SIDHE Forums contact them first, as they will be the best informed to tell you what has happened, don't bring it over to our forums.

Also the same goes with if you have a problem with TRF talk to me first via PM, don't take it to the SIDHE Forums.
 
I was wondering, I saw this morning on Facebook that Tru Blu put up photos on their page of the game... does this mean that the publisher is ready to give a release date? those photos were photos that wasn't released before from Sidhe.
 
Literally just got off of playing RL2 - Passing really is identical
Not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm not a fan of it

Doesn't really ruin my enjoyment of the RL games though, so shouldn't make any difference to RC either

It looks great! Really need a good rugby game after the dissapointment.
 
Agree with Olly that passing looks identical to RL2, also in the all star vs crusaders vid it does show similarities with animations (the fends look very similar along with the "floating" running styles). Is that a bad thing, No not at all.
Totally understandable to "borrow" things from the past (every game does it), just frustrates me when people slate RWC 11 for being a re hash of 08, and then saying RC is 100% new.
I'm looking forward to both, and buying both!!! (I earn money and need somewhere to spend it other than nights out). Looking forward to getting my hands on the game, which atm is unknown although GAMESTATION seemed rather convinced by September 8th, but ill wait for official statement.

Most of the passing system has been overhauled for Rugby Challenge, and there were already improvements between RL2 and RL3.

There are zero old animations that have been used. All animation in Rugby Challenge is 100% new.

I don't think we or anybody else has ever claimed Rugby Challenge is 100% new across every aspect. Indeed, we specifically have stated that we have carried across many paradigms and much learning from our earlier ***les.
 
Comparing the two games is the equivalent of comparing FIFA World Cup 2010 and FIFA 11.

Unless you buy both, the choice of which to buy is bleeding obvious.

*and this comes from a Rugby 08 fan, not a TRF mod, not a Sidhe forum member, no agenda to push at all.
 
I'm sick of people claiming I have an agenda - I'm just a rugby/gaming fan like everyone else....

I still play FIFA World Cup 2010 and FIFA 11.

My FIFA World Cup 2010 has great presentation and set the benchmark for similiar sports ***les and does not constantly micro freeze at important moments in game like FIFA 11 which the much talked about patch failed to fix.

What's is even stranger the earlier build FIFA 11 demo did not micro freeze, if FIFA 2010 had the passing improvements I would have sold FIFA 11 in a shot, club teams, custom audio or not.

I cannot see the comparison here, FIFA world Cup 2010 was and still is a great soccer game.
I think you need a PES dispenser. <_<

I did not claim you had an agenda. It is a fact that being a TRF Mod means your opinion can be perceived as being pro-HB; in the same way it is a fact that being a poster on Sidhe's forums means your opinion can be perceived as being pro-Sidhe. I was stating that I am neither so that nobody perceives my opinion as being pro-anyone.

cheers for being difficult. If FIFA 11 and FWC 2010 were the only football games on the market (rather than 000s), and there had been none for 4 years, you'd buy FIFA 11.

Yeah, I can see how that perception can be made with TRF as the forums for HB. I think the problem is that most people have only played the demo, which was a bit rubbish because it was on Easy and didn't really show off the game's potential for a good competitive game. The stuff that some of the mods here have played is final build, on higher difficulty, and is probably a lot better. Nobody here can really make a claim about bias until they've played the final product.

Back on topic, I am liking what I'm seeing with RC. To be honest, I've made up my mind that I'm only getting RC for now: there are just too many great games coming out this holiday, and I can't afford all of them, and RC seems like a better deal with more teams and tournaments. So I've got my own agenda! ;) But the reports of it being a good game are nevertheless very pleasing. [Insert release date here] can't come quickly enough.

Ah I think I read this wrong, like the FIFA world cup game was bad, PES is bad.

I think what you are saying it World Cup type games are short term and only national sides and not enough content for your sports game fix?

Either way TWO rugby games to choose from on Xbox 360, this is actually going to happen. Time to be happy.
