[RWC2023] Wales vs Australia (24/09/2023)

Apart from the Rowlands call , Wayne Barnes was absolutely spot on tonight 🤪😉

Australia rules football has took the audience. It's seen as safer and just as active.
Depends on the state, league is still bigger in NSW and QLD. State of Origin got good attendances in Adelaide and Perth. Aussie Rules is bigger everywhere else, on some of the Australian rugby forums they say rugby is behind basketball. I don't think it helps that Australia has no domestic national competition.

Perfect schedule for us now with almost 2 weeks off before Georgia. Have to go fully loaded in that one though.

Who's that host/presenter prick in the studio who was super disrespectful to Georgia and Portugal by saying they're never doing anything against Fiji? ****

I'd say 99.9% of other International coaches don't select one specialist 10 (and a green one at that) and drop a 100+ cap captain.

Aus did get a bit unlucky with injuries. Alalatoa in the RC, then Skelton and Tupou. They had nothing tonight.
This. Hooper was injured prior to the tournament but would have been fit by now.

Cooper and Foley are past their best but leaving Lolesio at home was just plain weird. It's been abundantly clear Gordon is not ready yet.

It is fair to say that Ala'alatoa, Skelton and Tupou might have made a difference, but IMO, they needed Hooper's doggedness and ability to influence his teammates.

Yeah joke. Fiji could easily lose one of those two games. However I'd be very surprised to see them not win at least one which will be enough.

Yeah for sure, I expect them to win both but to say, and I think this is what he said, "that's never going to happen but we have to say it it's like a 1 in a billion chance" just shows he knows nothing.

They did look like the better team the first 20 minutes.... Then they messed up that line out and it was downhill from there.
To be fair I'm being a bit unfair to Eddie as he did say straight after that "apart from their early try" but made me chuckle nonetheless.

Yeah would be a big shock if Portugal got anything but Georgia are a similar level wise and have a lot to prove after disappointing results so far

Eddie's gone straight to A&E with the biggest dry f*cking he's ever had. Large.

Seemingly a shift in power going on in the North South hemisphere . France comfortably beating NZ , Ireland beating SA and this result today and even Eng beating Argentina with 14 men . It points to a NH winner this year . Also the 6 nations is now the best in the world imo. I can't believe I'm thinking Italy could do something against NZ that's how big the shift is , mental.
