It doesn't address the issues that English clubs have been worse off hosting fewer league games. Just add the 4 welsh teams to the prem, 14 team league with promotion/relegation. You'll get more fans making the trip from the north to say Cardiff on a friday night than you will from Southern Italy

The reason that the clubs are worse of, is that they are not set up to profit from the whole matchday experience or using stadia for other events.
Sarries have copied Spurs and Man City, with a Tunnel club experience for big money.
The directors have got to start thinking outside the box to generate the extra revenue, rather than relying on tickets.
18 matches is a good number, as it means, internationals are not at same time, also the fewer matches the more exclusive each one is.

For now, I'd rather they focused on getting the foundations working and I think they could build Super Rygbi Cymru into something. I'm not too sure where an Anglo Welsh league would fit into all this right now, but maybe a cup tournament would be interesting?

SRC is needed to be supported properly as a development tool, where squad and academy players can get match experience in preparation for URC.

Barnes suggesting Anglo Welsh league.
Could be a good idea, but would like 2 Welsh and 8 English.
They should also be Franchises with a development league of 20 franchises below, each pro franchise has 2 development teams allocated.
That way there is a direct pathway from school-club-development-pro-national

Cardiffs attendances have been good, 7 sell outs I think this season...

Attendances can't get any worse, I can't imagine hosting Bristol or Gloucester would attract less away support than Treviso, or Stormers, where the away support is counted on 1 hand.

This is not that popular of a sport to begin with, so I would not be surprised if many that were interesting have just been priced out or become disenfranchised with the state of how it's run - not just in Wales either. This is entertainment. It's a incredibly competitive field when people just don't have the money and to be blunt, there's cheaper and more hassle free ways to spend it.

The sport will be fine, but it's not going to rapidly improve and things will probably have to change to deal with issues as they arise.
