The worst thing is Chile's penalties aren't even necessary. Dumb offside or challenging breakdowns they don't need to. Samoa aren't putting that much pressure on them.

Ah that's cruel on half time for Chile. Good finish that from Samoa, clever kick through.

Ugh, gut punch for Chile at the half. Lack of pace in the Chilean backs exposed a bit and Samoan blushes spared (I was expecting so much more from them). Both sides a bit more on the workmanlike side of the entertainment scale, but still very watchable. Chile may really struggle without their kicker Videla.

Yup, if it goes out to the side or out the back of the in goal area.

I thought the goal line drop out was only if the defending team recovered the ball in the in goal area and are tackled. I live and learn!

Yup, if it goes out to the side or out the back of the in goal area.

there was a us national panel referee (I think might have made World Sevens series) who thought the ball had to go dead to go back for a scrum. Didn't think touch in-goal counted. My jaw dropped.
