[RWC2023 QF2] Ireland vs New Zealand (14/10/2023)

Third worl cup semifinal for Argentina....Ireland? Maybe next century. South hemisphere rules

What. A. Finish…

I was on edge in that game. Gutted there had to be a losing side in that one!

God I kinda want to rub it in given how confident ireland fans was being before this game and tournament

But this being another QF exit and now this time they where world number 1 during it

That must be heartbreaking

I like the Irish lads on here and don't want to see them go so going to hold in anything bad

Rugby was brilliant shame it wasn't the final
I agree wholeheartedly
Much admiration for Ireland and best of luck in the future

Ahhh thats a sad way for a generational team to end. Gave a really good show though and no shame in losing to an all blacks that are finally clicking.

Rough for ireland fans with another QF exit, deserved more but the draw is such that we have two semi final quality matches in the quarters.

What next for ireland, anyone more clued up on irish rugby, who is the next FH up?

Wow.

Smugly go looking for post where I predicted the ABs to win the whole thing (less smugly predicated on beating France in the opening match, but hey…..).

Well played both sides. Fantastic game of rugby. Showed a completely different level compared to pools C and D. NZ well deserved winners. Their improvement in defence was huge and Ireland made errors they haven't before when under pressure.

Commiserations Ireland.

Game didn't go as expected for me, Ireland tried to force it too much.

Credit to NZ, played a blinder.

I feel for Ireland I really do. I wanted them to win but maybe POM got some karma tonight after he behaved like such a classless gobby ******** to Sam Cane.

That holdup over the line rule has to be changed. Bring back scrum 5m attacking ball
