[RWC2019][Semi-Final 1] England vs. New Zealand (26/10/2019)

I'm super worried that Slade is going to be found out badly in this game.
Whereas I know for a fact that Daly will be found out, that's not even up for debate. Playing someone so shakey and incomplete at full-back, against New Zealand, is inviting disaster.

I agree and cant get this out of my head.
I know its untimely , but surely Watson to FB and Nowell or Daly to wing would be right call.

For the love of god - any god; **** it, ALL gods - can we please stop this insistance on amalgamating 2 names into 1.
I hate it with dog breeds; it has absolutely no place when talking about human!

We're not German, we're allowed to use the space bar when required!

lol you set this off now.:D

Right you buggers - I've now handed out more dislikes in the last 5 minutes than I have in the last 5 years!
And each and every one of you fully deserved it!

You've even made me use the exclamation mark far more than I'm comfortable with!

On paper your right, but this team daly fb and watson wing works better, daly links in attack in that 13 channel between 13 and wing and is used as a straight fast running option to break or pass almost as an extra play maker, watson is better in the air in an attacking sense and that step and accelerate beats defenders in a small space.

In 2019 Daly has scored 4 trys and 20 assists. Defence he isnt so strong but we know this.

I also found on the wing he got taken into touch too much trying to back his pace as he does in the 13 channel and not having the space on the outside.

Daly is pretty pants on the wing tbf - his positioning is generally awful.

I've been banging this drum for a while but he should be on the bench, one of Nowell/Watson at 15 and the other on the wing.

Blimey I didn't realise it was quite THAT bad. 16 missed tackles from 42 in 2019 for England . Scary.

Compare him to other fullbacks, not the rest of the team. 15s have to tackle only when there's already been a line break.

Beauden Barrett is tackling at about 55% in this tournament.

Last time England played New Zealand, Daly was FB and Ashton was on the wing. Our centre partnership was T'eo-Slade. By rights we should have had the defensive consistency of a digestive biscuit, but there was only 1 point in it (down to our poor decision making more than the disallowed try).

The England lineup in general is a lot stronger than it was back then... trouble is, I think the NZ one is too!

Not any more - thanks to Olly (surprised I've given that many before - the only ones I can think of are downvotes for comedic value that I've undone within 24 hours - suspect some of those are ones I simply forgot to undo)

I did want to know what those 5 (although for some reason that's gone down to 4) had done to offend you so much to cause it.

And I want want to know WTH you're doing with an "imported from internet explorer" file in your bookmarks.
That implies that you've actually used internet explorer within the last 20 years - and I can see no obvious excuse for such behaviour

If you note the rest of my bookmarks are very work related (I've just had to check there is nothing I have to worry about, there isn't). Sadly there are some things work related that only work in IE......as a software engineer it makes me weep.

I think I might have worked out a couple of the 5 previous downvotes. There's one poster here who I've got on ignore and had to report to the mod squad before. I may well have handed out the odd downvote then. It wouldn't surprise me if that same poster was responsible for most of my received dislikes too.

Is that incognito mode being used as well?
