RWC: Springboks - Samoa (30-09-2011, 20:30)

This game is the shame of world rugby. Samoa lost only because IRB is conservative. How can such a team musn't play the best each year ? We call that unfairness.

Can anyone understand this muppet?

Whatever.

You lot are determined to play the victim card. I happen to think the red card was right but you feel different. Fair enough

Samoa just haven't been good enough in the key games.

Malice is an attemo to harm, Antagomise is intent to annoy.

Very obious difference really.

BLAH BLAH BLAH
Change the record pal - that one has a scratch in it

Brussouw has gone down in my book, he milked that and so did every SA waving there arms after every f*cking thing, you're supposed to be physical.

Samoa are awesome!

Yeah, this. He was striking Williams far harder to make him let go than Williams hit him.

That said, you put your hand in someone's face on the rugby pitch and you take the risk of a card, touchjudge possibly should have given a yellow but don't think Samoa can complain too much about that sequence of events.

How is antagonisim not malicious? The act is to provoke retaliation.
I believe SA had had a warning about it as well - should have been a penalty

HOWEVER the laws clearly specify that no retaliation is allowed whatsoever in any way shape or form, so Williams 'hit' cancels it out

Samoa can still take second place if:

1) Fiji score four or more tries in defeating Wales by at least 39 points, but by fewer than 84 points.
2) Wales do not score any bonus points in the match against Fiji.

Ah hard luck Samoa. Even though they lost thought they were awesome. Couple of calls didn't go their way and the recommendation by the touch judge to issue a red card was a shocker. Saying that, I don't think Owens was biased at all. He might have made a couple of dodgy calls but I thought he was more or less was impartial. Also about the red card call, well Williams definitely deserved a yellow card there so considering there wasn't all that much time remaining maybe it didn't have that big of an impact.

South Africa has had a couple of very tough games first against Wales and now this. That has to be good in terms of preparing for the QF.

Wales too, they are in quarters, they should have finished fourth...
Ah, I get it - you're a joke account!
Your posts make much more sense now that I've realised you're just taking the p**s!

Ah yeah. So Samoa are pretty much through already.

That "if" is in 72 font and in bold.

We will not lose to Fiji, so it's a non starter.

Samoa have been down by partialities, because they can't beat foundation nations everytime. For sure, they're not playing them.

Fair enough.

****** rule.

what an awesome game, lived up to the hype. unlucky for the samoans they needed to be more clinical and not be so ill discipline especially when SA have great kickers.

game of the tournament so far for me. big hits, awesome defense from both teams

and what about that great move from the samoans that led up to stowers' try.

If I were the coaching staff of the SA I would be p!ssed, that was the worst officiating I have ever seen Owens not to mention the touch judges, Samoa should have lost this game by at least 20 points.Do not feel to good Samoa the officials made the scoreline respectable. The dirty tactics employed by Samoa does not belong rugby, I just hope Owens far far far far away from the Eng/France game.
