pure hearsay at the moment....but there is a rumour going around that razor is gone. heard two different versions, the first he got the boot and the second he was stepping away as he feels hes lot the dressing room...but net result would be the same.

heard the press was notified today an announcement would be made on thursday.

A resent review has suggested some pretty toxic team culture at the moment on top of things like he admitted he was leaving scott hansen to do most of the roles normally associated with a head coach

Be interesting to know how much of NZs current struggles are down to him and how much is the player pool and other teams catching up. Really the past results for NZ should be the outliers rather then the norm, it's incredibly unusual for such a small country to dominate a sport that comprehensively for that long.

Wasn't it Gregor Paul who said the but about not doing what a typical HC does? Not sure I'd put wait on anything he says.
I thought it was a quote from Razor that hasn't been challenged

regardless of anything else said, other countries have definitely improved, the one time being a small country worked well was going professional, i think we were able to get the leap on high performance more easily and kept a years or two ahead far longer than we should have.

sounds like a mess, rumours Savea plus 4 other incumbents wont play again under razor, unclear if its him saying hes had enough of them or them saying they wont play.

Talk of BB leading trainings (not just team runs as a 10 might do) because coaching stuff were handling other player dramas

Favoured players (crusaders?) allowed to break curfew on the end of year tour without punishment whilst others were stood down

whispers Jamie Joseph and Tony brown being lined up, Brown apparently has a release clause from the Bokke if a role with the AB's comes up....so Highlanders seaon could be more stuffed than usual

Good guy Reiko was clearly the glue holding it all together.... Joke, he hasn't been at all good enough for me to commit to that bit.

It'd be pretty monumental if this happens. Can't remember the last revolt that didn't include Johnny Sexton or French people.

In all seriousness though, is that Joe Schmidt's music?

Have to say is Razor a top coach or did he take control of really th most dominant Super rugby team at the time?

Like the saders team was packed with talent
a common argument but blackadders time in charge of an argueably stronger Crusaders shows its not easy

i dont like bowing to the players...because lots of these guys were the same ones not perfroming well under fozzie...and several of the names comming up like the barrets and savea are closer to the end of their carreers than the start...we need freash blood...and keeping all the same old names that havent truely fired consistantly as a team for the last 6 - 8 years.....just doesnt strike me as a good idea.

first i wold clear out the squad, no one makes it on reputations or past glory anymore, clean slate and squad it picked on super rugby form

Hmm…A top Southern Hemisphere nation reaching a low and offloading their coach (who had success in domestic competitions but lacked international experience) midway through a World Cup cycle, to potentially bring in a respected, creative locally bred coach who is currently plying his trade overseas (and is well appreciated by those foreign fans) after that coach has previously been burnt by the national setup… definitely no precedent of that working out well in the past…
