[h=2]Best players from Pool A, in my view, are to follow. The selection is based only on players in each position. Nobody can be put out of position and it is only based on performances in the pool matches. Play-off´s games are not to be considered. Nor is game time in a different position. Therefore, although Sean O´Brian is a 6 by position but was playing at 7 for Ireland this is where he will be considered. So this puts him up against players like Bergamasco, Clever and Pocock who all performed well. On form Todd Clever and Sean O´Brian were the best backrowers in the Pool but one has to miss out..

Pool C is the only one (from my choices) that gets players from all teams in the World XV.

15 Kurtley Beale (Australia)
14 James O´Connor (Australia)
13 Paul Emerick (USA)
12 Pat McCabe (Australia)
11 Vasily Artemyev (Russia)
10 Ronan O´Gara (Ireland)
9 Will Genia (Australia)
8 Sergio Parisse (Italy)
7 Sean O´Brian (Ireland)

6 Stephen Ferris (Ireland)
5 James Horwill (Australia)
4 Hayden Smith (USA)
3 Martín Castrogiovanni (Italy)
2 Stephen Moore (Australia)
1 Cian Healy (Ireland)

Parisse is a beast, still not clear to me why Read is called the best n°8 in the world.

Not sure about Artemyev - think the other Russian winger (Ostroushko?) had a better WC

Would consider Mike MacDonald over Healy as well - while Healy is the better player (so rendering this point wrong automatically as it's supposed to be the best players  ) MacDonald put in a more important performances for USA than Healy did for Ireland

just found out artemyev went to school in blackrock college dublin and then UCD for college

Yup, same side as Luke Fitzgerald (amongst others) - it's really weird hearing him talk, it's Dublin mixed with Russian

I think that POC should be in at 5 he was better than Horwill, but then again I'm bias because I didn't really see enough of Auz. Had a fantastic world cup IMO

yes our mortal enemies blackrock ill teach them to beat us 67-0

Agreed with Olly on Mike Macdonald, he was a standout player for the States.

The problem is Cian Healy was the man of the match for Ireland vs USA with the USA scrum being dominated. Italy also got the better of the USA with MacDonald there. He was great vs Russia but Healy was strong and had a lot do do with Ireland´s undefeated run in the pool.

Micro Birgamasco and Tommy Bowe for left and right Wing, but clearly above that's a dangerous team.
