Rugby Championship: South Africa - Australia (29/09/2012)

As the leader of the Goosen-fanboy club I am happy with this team.

And I'm really excited to see Taute play for the Boks, looks like even if he doesn't start he'll still make his debut. Also I would have preferred Coetzee over Alberts. Like stormer said, Alberts is a great impact player.

Alberts is only an impact player, nothing more... Coetzee has shown his skills every Test he started. His benching is just unfair. But that is all part of HM's BigBoys Crush. He rather has big guys (Alberts, Strauss, F. Steyn, Habana) rather than smaller ones with more technique (Coetzee, Burden, de Jongh, Lambie, Aplon)

Ok so Taute has just jumped Juan De Jongh?

Yes, just like every fly-half in the whole f*cking country is leapfrogging Lambie in the next 4 years. He should just move to France to make some money. He's not getting into the Bok team anyway.

I disagree. Coetzee looked out of sort vs Argentina in Mendoza and vs Australia in Perth. All the newspapers also picked up on it, so it couldn't just have been me that thought so. In the RC, Coetzee has hardly done anything worth mentioning. Alberts was very quiet in the first 2 tests in the RC, but he has upped his game every time he ran out from the previous one...

As a non biased person i'll say that i think both Coetzee and Alberts have had quiet games and good games this tournament.

Well, with the current gameplan (forwards crashing the line and recycling the ball) Coetzee does look out of place. Despite that, he did show what he can do with the ball in hand. Especially defensively he is much better than Alberts.

Well this is THE test, Goosen must be under a lot of pressure, because if he fails to perform it's back to Morne Steyn...

I'm yet to see a tackle this huge! And this guy had just come back from injury he is such a machine!

Was that the one where Naqluseless did a high tackle and let the bulls win? :/

Speaking of controversial tackles... Everyone was raving about the double-tackle by Adam Ashley-Cooper on Jean de Villiers and Lwazi Mvovo but apparently nobody noticed that both tackles were high (above the shoulder).

Stuff like that happens far too often. We need referees who will pay more attention to high tackles.

I see Taute as a future Bok 15, not at center
Lambie should go and make a million in France if not given game time soon - we are treating him like Brent Russel
Alberts, like most is commenting is more effective of the bench, Marcell seems to do more on the filed

Over the moon that Goosen get a run on chance, let Steyn rest for a while and see if he can come back and dethrone him
Jean needs a big game for a change, he is becoming a passenger and we don't need a second John Smit scenario that he is chosen cause of his captaincy

Bloody Meyer can't manage Steyn correctly.
Morne bench, Lambie returned to us.

Amazing how half a decent season of S15 gets you the starting 10 shirt, but two CC seasons (one excellent) and two good S15 seasons does nothing.

yes yes, let the Welsh side come through...

Don't tell Sker, he was so pleased to give me my honorary SA ***les (granted I do have tenuous ones already).
What I'd give for Lambie to have a Welsh grandparent (and others have agreed with me, after they saw him a few times).

Never expected to see Steyn out of the 22. I am just glad it wasn't: 20 Jantjies, 21 Steyn, 22 Lambie. Stand offs, stand offs everywhere! Le Roux has some time at first five, have him on the wing, Pienaar at SH, Lambie 12, Steyn 13, Janjties 10, Goosen 15 and find one more wing/1st 5.
