ahh i was wrong......kicking with the analog stick easy u aim an then press down (R3 on a ps2 control) and hold for how far u want to kick it

I thought you were meaning using the analog stick to kick in the way that Tiger woods games use it to drive the golf ball??
huh naah then o would have no control over distance and accuracy [/b]
Of course you would!! Otherwise Tiger Woods would be unplayable (golf being a game where accuracy and distance is even MORE important).

The further you draw the stick back the harder you hit it, with accuracy you can change the "up and down" positioning of the stick (exactly how you get hooking/slicing in Tiger Woods) to account for wind etc..........

tru but my ways better altho the tiger could take longer to master and eventually u could pull out some mean banana kicks and ****

Analog stick for general kicks would be way too hard to control! Hold down and push in direction? meh... whats wrong with pressing a button to kick and aiming with analog

because if u use the r3 button for kicking that leaves the triangle button for something else dont it

I was thinking more for place kicking, drop outs.......
Yes.

Stilted kicks, as in kicks not in live action, could be made into more of a science.

yea deffinately the tiger style would be perfect for shots at goal even the bash the button to fill the 'rugby ball' up red so the ball goes further that would be way better than any technique used in any game so far

yes that would work

especially for conversions and penalties!!!!!!!

Tiger Woods is a much underated sports game

Its great, coz u can always fall back on it, when ur sick of ur other games

Tiger woods is the biggest sports game i have ever played

it is near impossbile to get 200% in a calendar year - time period when the next version comes out - therefore u never really conquer it

i have done like 100 rounds of golf, most scenarios and all legend tour, and only have 140% complete

the other 60% is the remaining tournos and legend tracking balls - which will be impossible to get - especially tiger woods money earnings of 35 million. i have 15 million in prizemoney and played approx 23 tournos and won all of them
to get tiger money i gotto do it twice, 3 times over and thats taking into a/c tiger doesnt earn more money which he always does, by finishing in the top 5 like he always does in the game
if u want a game that keeps u going all year, till its next version get Tiger Woods
plus its great multiplayer and it has online
even if u hate golf, this is a video game that is visually pleasing and tonnes of fun

After getting Tiger, GTA:SA, PES4, Madden within 2 months of eachother - it is only Tiger that i keep playing on a weekly basis simply coz i am the farthest from finishing it (out of all those games), and its the most fun to try and finish (GTA:SA become a chore after 90%, and its frustrating)

yep tiger woods is fun because you get to play golf.......with players that can put the ball almost where u wont everyone would love real golf if they were gud at it but if ur not u get ****** off and brake ur clubs

Just use the Rugby 2004 Goal Kicking System... but make it less random and buggy.

Nah, too boring and not interactive enough... no rugby game yet has had good goal kicking

Best goal kicking - come to that, the best all round kicking - in a rugby game to date is in SLRL (SJRL). I like the slow mo during gameplay as it provides control but doesn't remove the need for relatively fast decision making and at least some skill. I am a fan of the swing gauge during goal kicking as it introduces an element of randomness that is under your control. It is possible to fluff even the easiest kick if you hare having a really bad day (R2004 and WCR are both so predictable that I never miss unless its from the touchline - and even then rarely).

I much prefer union to league and would love to see a rugby union game that allows the control of kicking found in SLRL(SJRL).

I await, with interest, precisely what EA will come up with this time.

The best all round kicking in a rugby game is definately Jonah Lomu Rugby, without a doubt! The fact that you had a "Jump" button helped a great deal too, especially with bombs!

Not even close to it loks mate... While the jump button was great, it has nothing to do with "kicking", only receiving... Apart from that the in game kicking was average and the goal kicking (which was replecated for WCR) was the worst of any sports sim involving conversion kicks since the previous generation of consoles... It was seriously THAT BAD!
No, NRL has definately had the best kicking system to date... it's not without it's flaws, but IMO it has the best all round kicking controls in any League or Union game to date...

dude that goal kicking system is a great idea but SJRL screwed it up big time

a. there's a 0.1 sec lag after u press 'x' before the bar stops
b. u cant adjust the height
c. sometimes even after it goes over the black dot u are granted with a missed conversion

Tiger Woods system would be the greatest by far
even tapping the L1 for extra power at the expense for a high risk wayward kick would be sick

have the arrow position itself in a random spot every time
then u gotto line it up and go - back and up on the analogue,

I didn't find the goal-kicking in WCR and JLR that bad. It was simple and quick.

They might benefit with the system EA has in place for NCAA football (which I'm assuming is the same for Madden) which has made field goals more of a challenge.
