RBS 6 Nations - Ireland vs Wales - (05/02/2012 -15:00)

Roberts unfortunately for us is going to be fit while Priestland and Lydiate are 50/50.

I get the feeling that Byrne is going to start at 15. He might be less of a risk than Cuthbert/Robinson. If Roberts is fit that will be a massive boost. The prospect of seeing Phillips, Hook, and Henson paired together again is rather exciting, but for which side??

Wales don't need Henson, he is just going to increase the work rate of the oppoistion team ten fold...like a bull seeing red or in his case, orange! why did Toulon get rid of him again?

This is why the Six Nations is the greatest international competition / league in the world - what other competition constantly produces fantastic and amusing 'trailers' for their games year in year out?

Why? Didn't exactly take Nostradamus to work that out, give or take a few.

Although I'm pleased that my semi-trolling over ROG was wrong.

I meant more in frustration than in surprise.
Then again, that's probably the wrong expression to use...

People are going to be ******, basically :p

I'm really quite pleased with this Ireland team, which makes up for the loss of Matthew Rees. O'Callaghan is way over the hill and won't be up to much, unlike the far more sprightly Donnacha Ryan (Who, even then, I wouldn't be fearing.) while Earls is pretty useless at 13, especially at international level. Stick Davies down his channel all day, he'll probably get lost as usual and end up diving at the injured Jamie Roberts. Also glad O'Gara isn't starting, as I can't see this Irish backline causing too many problems without BOD, the defence in the QF taken into account, so it'll be nice if Sexton can have one of his off-days, please. Cheers.

Have to say I'm happy with this selection and think Kidney has got the mix of experience and form right. I also like the look of the bench.

O'Callaghan and Earls, we all knew it was going to pan out like that. Now let's look forward to the game!

I think it is the best team we can field at the present time...Earles at centre is a bit of a gamble but not the worst player (doing ok for Munster) Where do you see the big issues? seen Geordan Murphy on my flight back to Brittania today, what a legend! :D

Earls is a defensive liability and O'Callaghan and D'arcy are past it.
