RBS 6 Nations - France vs Ireland - 04/02/2012, 15:00

I think it was well documented last year by the celtic mafia that a six nations ***le without a slam is "worthless"

The Slam is the peak no one would say no to the Championship without the Slam but it does somewhat take the sheen off.

Funnily enough I think I actually didn't slag England about a worthless victory, thought the nike ads were funny.

Why would you care? There I was thinking you couln't give two shites about the English national team. Not that anyone had even mentioned last year's tournament in this thread.

Anyway, I seem to remember several English posters agreeing that a slam less 6 nations wasn't worth all that much. From my point of view, hardly anyone seems to remember the two championships we brought home in the 80's while everyone knows that Jack Kyle's Ireland did the slam in 1949.

a non slam championship may not be coverd in glory but id bite your hand off to have it :p

on o'connell i would be inclined to agree feic. he is one of the best braveheart type leaders all passion aggression and power not sure he has the tactical head to lead a team.
or if he is going ti be captain get a vice captain who can help him with it!

Starting XV: Poitrenaud ; Clerc, Rougerie, Fofana, Malzieu ; (FH) Trinh-Duc, (SH) Parra ; Bonnaire, Harinordoquy, Dusautoir (CAP) ; Mastri, Papé ; Mas, Szarzewski, Poux.
Bench: Servat, Debaty,, Nallet, Picamoles, Dupuy, Beauxis, Mermoz.

Nobody can take the shine off winning the 6N. If it's not a GS but we still win it, I won't care. I will still be as drunk as if we get the Slam

Haha =] ain't that the truth!! Unfortunate for us Frenchies it looks like it's going to have to be a grand slam or nothing! So I think I'll take the grand slam please! =P

"For us", you're going a bit too fast my friend...
Personally after this wonderful but nevertheless chaotic WRC, a new coach and many key players running for their last international season (Bonnaire, Servat, Hari, Nallet,...), I'll take the ***le.

Like ive said before and i will say again so everyone knows who the messiah was when this eventually happens Ireland will beat France, Wales will lose to France, France will beat England, Ireland will beat England, and ireland will take the championship on points thanks to our italy hammering bit of a tongue twister there.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Maybe if you read it you might understand, you really are one boring moderator no offense making pointless comments to my posts all the time.

Ah, personal insults.

Actually, it turns out that I did misread your first post there. I thought you were making some reference to BOD being the messiah against France about 10 years ago and predicting another one. Apologies.

And yes I am bored. Or at least procrastinating massively.

Ah bod this bod that, there is no more bod its a munster man in the positon cant hack it at the moment or something, will make the icing on the cake if ireland win and earls is at 13.

Nah its not that, my post was a pretty simple post to understand but he has to make a big deal out of it why?

Oh yeah, I misunderstood too. I thought you were saying that Earls will be the messiah and would lead Ireland to the win in France.

Also if that comes true you wouldn't be a messiah you'd be a prophet there's a few differences. :p

I thought if that post got any messiah it would be impossible to follow

Jeez
