Pro 12 Semi Finals

Was it the repeated punching in a ruck? I thought I saw something, but wasn't 100% sure, and was hoping for a replay, but it didn't come.

I thought I saw something too there. He was in possession of the ball though and might have just been trying to keep hold of it. I'd like to see it again.

Or when Jennings plays allowing him to do the stuff you like from an 8. ;)
But if that true then questions have to be asked of Leinsters alternative options there. In fairness though Heaslip has has a good last month compared to below average season

Can't recall in recent memory a Welsh player I've disliked as much as Liam Williams.
Such a shitty little twat, almost want the oppo to smack him around. He has one of those faces, but the way he acts is so scummy. Wouldn't start for any other region. (Fussell, Dirksen, Walker; Halfpenny, Cuthbert, Robinson; Evans, Prydie, Harries)

I would love to smack you around mate - We can work somenthing out, if you like :)

Nah, I am just going to stick to saying **** on the computer behind my keyboard.

Yeah, maybe that comment was slightly uncalled for (ok, pretty uncalled for) but I just don't like his on-field persona. He seems like the type of player who likes to get into it for all the wrong reasons. I love punchy scrum halves and all, but he just comes off all wrong. Always a late hit or something.

No questions have to be asked it's pretty simple really Heaslip's role changes based on who else is in the backrow.

Liam Williams, is that you?

On the subject of Liam Williams, I must be one of the few who likes his attitude. Yes he went a little too far in this match, and should have left the little cheap shot from Trimble go, but as long as from now on he keeps it below the line, I'm all for a little ****le. I know oppo fans will hate him, and I completely understand, but I like having someone like him on my team who won't take any sh*t. I've not seen him do anything genuinely malicious unlike some other dirty players.

I don't think what he does can be classified under "not taking any ****" he along with Farrell like to throw cowardly cheap shots and while Farrell usually just does it to his opposite number Williams does it to the oppositions best players. I don't mind anyone standing up for themselves or losing it when someone does something reckless but attacking prone players like Williams usually does is a bit pathetic.

That's taking it a bit far imo. He's not comparable to the likes of Botha or Hartley who have done numerous dirty off the ball stuff. I'd class what he does as ****le, and mostly 'not taking sh*t', although I do accept that some of the little things he does is uncalled for. He was punched first in this match though, although I agree with Peat that his retaliation could have been a red-card offence by today's standards.

Comparing him to Farrell is probably quite fair, and as an opposing fan I find Farrell an annoying little sh*t, and like I said I can understand oppo fans thinking the same about Williams.

If I was playing, I'd love to have someone like Williams on my team, and hate to be playing against him.

Indeed. I saw him do a late hit on Stuart Hogg a couple of weeks ago. My main issue is that outside of that, his skills on the pitch are solid but not as special as some make out, doesn't possess great speed, sidestep etc. Decent player but not "next JPR" as the Turks billed him.

Late, no arms...
He is steady, nothing superb. I have seen Fussell cause more trouble from deep.
