Tuilagi or Armitage?

I am guessing Tualagi as all Delon dis was a scummy cheap shot.

But upon seeing the video of the Tualagi punch I dont think it was the biggest I have seen...ferocious power yeah but he didn't connect that sweetly .

Tuilagi - Delon does it and runs.
Oh yeah has he been cited yet or will he get off :D

Darius are you serious?

Im Samoan.. What Manu did is undignified., is this how you want to promote rugby?

Honestly, he is kin, but Manu needs to be suspended for quite a while.

Here in Samoa we have stamped out those thuggish temperments in our NPC. Not one fight or punches thrown in the past year. Now we have this stupid Samoan throwing wild punches all over TV and the internet in a professional competition.

Suspend his arse. Ashton was very lucky not to be seriously injured.

If Tuilagi does not publcally apologise for his actions, he should **** off from playing rugby and take up boxing.

I don't care if your Samoan - thats got F'all todo with it.
Im Maori and that doesn't colour my viewpoint at all... i have nothing against Ashton and no biased towards Manu.
Maybe its' just a NH vs SH viewpoint.
I've talked to a few people who have seen it and without any prompting they all think Ashton started it and deserved what he got, he KNEED Manu in the back and shoved him - then he stands over Manu!

What do you think he was standing over Manu for, to talk about the weather ...
From down here it looked like Ashton tried to start a dust up and started backtracking real fast when he realized Manu can throw a few ... note he didnt walk backwards until he got hit.

I and most of my counterparts who have seen the footage will stand by our opinions as i guess most of you NH people will stand by yours.

Thing is can see your guys biased opinions by the fact your calling for a suspension for the tackle - when its obvious he got him around the chest - yet your calling it high - and im the one who needs glasses?....

Uce maybe you should chill a bit on that one. Samoa mo Samoa a uso.

To me uce (I dont know about you) if someone kneed me in the back then shoved me and then stood over me...oh sole your gonna feel the wrath of the Samoan. Every action has a reaction uce, I wouldnt be quick to oso and hang a brother without looking at the situation with some consideration.

 I live in Samoa friend.

Kneed? Obviously seeing things that never happened. Tuilagi threw 3 punches that connected with his head.. Ashton was lucky the 3rd one didnt connect to his jaw.

You obviously have no respect for the game of Rugby and would rather it all descends into an all out brawl.

Lastly, the Reason i mentioned SAMOA.. is because here in Samoa we have managed to instill a rather strict code into our NPC teams.. Its worked wonders last year and this season too.. No fights apart from some shoving, nothing like the chaos a few years ago where players would get involved into full scale village warfare with Rocks, bottles and Machetes being used.

Thank the Lord those days are gone............. THEN SUDDENLY we have one of our future idols of Samoan Rugby throwing punches like he is in a boxing ring?

Screw him.. He deserves to get his arse banned for a long time. This is Rugby Darius, not bloody boxing. If he wants to box, take up boxing where punches are legal.

If you think punching is part of Rugby, well.. i guess that reflects on the type of mentality you have towards the game.

Sole.. I have been kneed in the back of the head in a few rugby games... But i aint no fool. I came to play Rugby, not boxing. I will let the Law Officials take care of the person who kneed me.

A e.. Sole, leai ma se kulivae a ashton ga connect ma le ulu a Tuilagi..

2ndly, As i have said before, days are different now. This is a professional sport. All thuggery should be stamped out. We are doing it here in Samoa, with most guys in or NPC going to play the ball.. not the player. They come to play rugby, not to fight.

Ou ke alofa foi ia Manu, but he needs to know what he did was wrong. If he doesnt think he was wrong, makua oki akoa le discipline. He needs to be a role model for all Samoans.

I have been thinking to myself for a long time that Ashton would eventually be punched in the face, but I was expecting it on a swan dive try while running up the score vs. Romania at the RWC and an angry semi-pro Oak lock would hit him in the jaw as hard as he can. I think he just has one of those faces that is hard to resist putting your fist into.

That being said Tuilagi threw a flurry of punches not just one so a three week ban would probably be appropriate.

In two sports I follow Ice Hockey and Indoor Lacrosse fighting is legal and only results in five minute penalties so maybe its not as big a deal from my perspective. Sucker punches to the back of the head would be much worse though.

Ok uce you've made your point and point taken.

I just feel that Manu was playing Rugby, he tackled Ashton around the chest. Then Ashton started it. Ashton went and started something that wasnt rugby. No angry and thugerry from Ashton no thugerry what so ever.

Well that hit on Ashton.. Hmm.. To me it wasnt really much... Yes Ashton too was in the wrong with the Shove. But i dont think he expected Tuilagi to have a complete lack of class and start throwing REAL punches. Honestly.. Ashton looked surprised.. Like "Huh...What.. Real Punches!"

That last one that got him over the Right eye was the worst. Cmon Uso. Ashton was backtracking after the first 2 hits... No need to throw a 3rd punch... Even i wouldnt continue beating a person who obviously doesnt know how to defend themselves.. Seu ia it caused a cut over the fellas eye.

Tuilagi is still undisciplined. He was on TV. People saw it. They are calling him a thug. Lets see him apologize and show remorse THEN he can continue to go on his way playing rugby.

Anyways.. Pule lava le faamasino.

I know your in Samoa ... i wasn't directing my whole comment at you - it was more towards the NH'ers but i reckon your stance would be the lesser here in the SH.
Regardless of that i don't think rugby should be all out brawls at all and my mentality towards rugby has always been fairplay but in respect to someone having a go at you i believe you should be able to retaliate.
You need to watch the video and see where Ashtons knee goes when he shoves Manu and watch Manu's head jerk back from the force.
Yes Manu got him without the ball - not high either - so thats a penalty - why is no-one on Ashton about the Shove(and Knee) he started it all with that!

Kovana I dont care about your strict codes and what worked wonders ... im just talking it how i saw it - One person started this - he even tried to throw a few hopeless jabs - like i said if he wants to start **** he shoulda been prepared for it to be finished.

Hahaha true ah uce. Im sure after Ashton finished his 'assault', he must've thought to himself...'oh hes quite a big lad, oh dear god hes getting up'...hahaha...its a good thing Manu didnt open his eyes and watched that right hook of his on to Ashtons jaw but at least it stopped it all.

I know what you mean though, in Rugby us Samoans pride ourselves in our flair, defence and good sportsmanship. The good guys:)...try to be...suppose to be...swore to be.

Rubbish. As i said. Have you come to play Rugby or Boxing?

One person started this - he even tried to throw a few hopeless jabs

WTF? You call those jabs? He was trying to block Tuilagis Punches.

You are deluded if you think Tuilagi had some right to throw punches. This isnt a bloody playground Darius. "He pushed me.. So i should get to punch him!"

Pathetic mentality.

As for the Video.. Ashton shoved... His wrong.. If he had taken offense to the hit, he should of just gotten back up and play the game like a real professional.

Tuilagi Retaliated with Punches.. Which connected.. Definitely wrong... If he was a real pro... he should of just continued with playing the game.

Jeez. Cannot believe you are condoning his actions. Do you play Rugby?

Chris Ashton aggressively shoved him in the back of the head, which when it comes unexpectedly can lead to spinal chord injuries, I'm sure Manu was just trying to say "I say old bean, that push may have endangered my ability to walk so therefore I must retaliate with physical violence seeing as you have already thrown your gloves off. So tally-ho Mr. Ashton!" with his punches.
