Premiership Rugby 23/24 - Round 14

IMG_4697.jpegGood looking team but still with a few players missing. 5/2 split on the bench will hopefully stop any depowerment later in the game.

Schonert out until October,
If it wasn't over before it certainly is now

That really sucks. What happened?
Bone spur in his foot that they've been managing this season - it's got to the point where it's impacting his Achilles so he's had to have surgery on it (think the plan was to have it done over the summer)

Damn, hope he rehabs quicker than expected. Such a solid player.

Gloucester > Bristol
I may not agree but ultimately we'd all rather have a shower...

Don't like the 6:2, and think James (and maybe Raffi) should be starting but BC back is big
Hopefully we can manage more than a half this week!

Wrong on field decision IMO if he doesn't have a grounding he shouldn't really call it a try.

How is that not a penalty?
He targets the head - sure he's trying to hold him up and the player is bent double but he's still clocked him in the jaw and was always upright/never in a position for that to be legal contact

Player mic feels completely pointless in rugby,
Sounds quality is awful because they have to position the mic on their back and really nothing is getting said in the same way it is in American Football

Today's highlights are basically muffled "YEEAAAAHHH" after a try or knock on

How long ago was it, that the ref was being castigated by all and sundry for seeing the ball held up, and calling it as ball held up, before anyone had seen the camera angle that almost certainly showed a try?
