Pool 1 (Glasgow, Leicester, Munster, Racing Metro)

Not to rub it in but I'm happy to say we got no new injuries in the last game and will be getting Saili and O'Callaghan back. Hope DOC2.0 in particular pushes on after this injury. Was playing very brightly before then. Also young Bill Johnston will probably be making his way into some matchday 23's someday soon as he's back healthy too after a big layoff.

We are same as last week except James Cronin on the bench in place of Du Toit

Russell the star of the show for the second week running. He's really on fire at the moment.

Hilarious to see the parisians drawing a blank in Europe with their ambition and salaries they're paying Carter and al + Lorenzetti blowing a gasket over Goosen :D

Another good performance from Ally Price. Could he finally be the man to challenge Laidlaw at 9 and give us some quality depth there? Very surprised to see Glasgow's scrum running so well too. It's performances like this that they'll need to repeat weekly to stand much chance of getting to the Pro12 final. One foot in the next round if Hogg and Russell can stay fit.

Wasn't Pyracos the man that was touted to really be the heir to Laidlaw.
The bonus point will be important though I think here

The Racing pack on paper should be fairly dominant. The future looks bright for Scotland under Townsend. Ali Price and Finn Russell have great chemistry.

I think Laidlaw might retire from international duty when he moves to France opening the door for Price.

What happened to Hidalgo-Clyne?

Pretty major slump this year from SHC. He was dropped to third choice at Edinburgh for a while but being given a fresh chance by the new coach. Pyrgos hasn't really seized his opportunity either. I've never been a big fan of Laidlaw but he is solid and consistent. 34 by the time of the next RWC so I think its fair to say he could retire before long.

Laidlaw's kicking is saving him IMO. Kicking aside, Price is the better scrum half on current form. More dynamic and has great sniping skills.

Hopefully Leicester can cause a shock and grab a win today. Who would've thought them and Racing would be third and fourth in the group.

Tuilagi back from injury just to pick up another yellow, Youngs showing an attitude problem and Leicester as a whole looking slow and clueless. I see another thumping.

Great carry by Genge

No wonder Youngs has got the hump

This is an all time terrible refereeing display so far. Tuillagi has been yellowed for basically not hammering a bloke marginally late but not using his arms. If he'd just hammered the guy with his arms used I get the feeling nothing happens. That's mental. POM is an awesome player but he has offended at every breakdown so far he's got McCaw esque levels of invisibility!

Genge is playing well so far.

I think the refereeing ain't that bad (although that last penalty was no penalty). Tuilagi's action was just stupid. Youngs need to keep his discipline.

Free possession!

That last call was more madness. It's like the ref either doesn't understand the laws or isn't actually watching the game. Yes it's difficult to get through a maul but it doesn't mean it's illegal either. Whilst I'd usually agree with captains keeping their discipline it's clear there's a considerable amount of chip out there. I'd prefer any leader of men not to just let it pass.
