Pool 1 (Glasgow, Leicester, Munster, Racing Metro)

Well Glasgow have kept their hopes alive with that. Solid performance. French sides obviously have stronger benches but also better conditioning. Reminded me of Ulster at Bordeaux when Ulster weee clearly the better side for 60mins and then the French side just took control.

Also a relief as I was starting to doubt the move for Townsend as national coach.

I've never really ever noticed Price. Very good game from him so far. He or Pyrgos (and Horne) need to head along the M8 for next season to get more play time and give the national team stronger depth at 9 & 10.

There must be some real leadership on the field for Glasgow. They were all at sea in the first 15mins but have regrouped and battled really well. They really should bring it home now.

Yeah it seemed like Pyrgios and Hidalgo-Clyne would be battling it to succeed Laidlaw but Townsend has obviously seen something in Price and he looks really dynamic. Looks as though Gregor is aiming for a run in the European Cup before he leaves next year.

What's happened to Munster forwards?
Used to have a reputation as hard ******** now they're either just petty (POM) or straight up wimpy (loosehead crying to the referee cause Manu charged into him in a maul)
lol What game did you just watch mate? Jeeeesus any excuse for a pop.
What a performance. Yellow was harsh on the grounds that Manu only smashed his own man, and the penalty try is definitely worth another look, but Tigers were beat from the word go and bloody hell that was 80 minutes of mean and angry. Great game. I've a world of respect for Tigers as an organization, but that was a very timid performance. I'm not expecting that next week, and I would be genuinely sad to see an old rival like Leicester fade away. That said I hope we mash them next week as well. Let them have their comeback against filthy teams like Racing

Well there goes our home record.

Cheating Irish.

Learning from Leicester the team that mastered it. Ye were worst than Italian teams heres. They scored and statistics show today was worst discipline from a team in Thomond Park in Europe since 95

And I'd add in if we going soft it ok because they walked Leicester back all day. Leicester won't be as cocky next week but if such a soft team can do that to them what does that say.

I will say Taute was never getting there but it was cynical ans silly judgement.

Between Munster and Glasgow now. Munster weren't that great but still won pulling up. Leicester were rubbish. Ref only reffed one side. Probably academic to the result though given the gap between the teams.

On Poite I though he was fine. I said it here during week Leicester should stidy wayhe refs as we learnt few years ago. Guess they didn't

Don't know where you get the idea that Tigers where cocky?

Also my cheating comment was tongue in cheek no need to be mean......

I'm not aiming at you Tigs but there was an air of cockiness today. In warm ups I watched Tigers and it was more like a lugh with no intensity.

Must say though next week will be thriller. We know now a win and we can control group. Tigers are looking to survive in Europe but also are built like Munster and pride is the bigger issue they'll want to avenge next week.

It was a good, clinical performance by Munster. You can only beat whats in front of you and thats what Munster did.

POM was my MOTM with Murray and Bleyendaal closely behind.

Oh and surely Sweetnam will get capped in the 6 nations. He just looks dangerous every time he gets the ball.

Ahhhhh I don' think they were at all cocky, just talking ****e like me. I've a few Leicester fans here in Aus and they were far from confident. Anyone having a go at Tigs will have to go through me, or a Leicester player of your choice...... I'd go through me too.
Agreed on Sweets Muff. We've not produced backs like Scannell and Sweetnam in many years now. I've hyped both for a while, but I never thought they would have seasons like this. It's great to see. On paper we have a serious contender team which lacks depth in a few spots. Bleyndaal must be a tough ****er mentally to beat the injury and play with the confidence he does. I was very frustrated with him before, but he's become the player I was hoping he'd be for us on signing.

So... would this be a good time to ask Munster fans how having the mighty Rassie Erasmus as DoR is treating you?

Hes doing a great job. Munster were a bit of a rabble last season but he has transformed them. The defence has been great too since Nienaber came.

Eramus would be the man the Boks need but ye can wait a while. ;)

Is it the coaching team or Foleys passing bringing the squad together?

I don't see any great technical or tactical innovations with Munster. The difference in honesty and work rate between this season and last is night and day though. Do you credit the coaches for that or the players themselves for getting the finger out in Foleys memory? I'm with the latter tbh.

SA better sign Rassie and Nienaber soonish

They burnt their bridges with him thats how we got them. He's a hero in these parts. Doesn't complicate just recognises our strengths and builds a plan to compliment them.

Wasn't having go at Tigs either here. I've huge respect for him and the Tigers as they are built on tradition and earned respect from floor up like irish provinces.

Also on Sweets I genuinely think he is 1 of best aerially on the scene now. Not best winger incase some people get mixed up just in air

The Munster intensity was frightening, especially the back row. Leicester were just blown away.

At least Genge looked up for the fight. Some of his carrying didn't quite work, but days like that are going to be brilliant in his education.

Tom Youngs looks like he's lost some bulk and doesnt seem to influence games in the way he did 3 or 4 years ago.
