Marathon swim is a beast of an event. Reckon 99% of people, myself included, would drown if they tried that.
Speed climbing is definitely a skill but doesn't feel right unlike Lead/Boulder.Really great watch, much prefer that to the speed climbing
Yeah, the speed climbing is amazing, but once you've seen it a couple of times, then you've seen it all you need.Really great watch, much prefer that to the speed climbing
Is the issue with speed climbing its essentially a 100m and it would benefit from being 400m/800m?Yeah, the speed climbing is amazing, but once you've seen it a couple of times, then you've seen it all you need.
I like a straight race to the line, but it loses everything by not being head-to-head all going at once. Probably also needs to be a bit longer to be a bit more visually able to see the difference rather than need electronics who's done it, or at least change the course for every event.
Bouldering and Lead is definitely where it's at.
100m is fine - if they're all going at the same time. (it's also 10ish seconds, rather than 6ish; so more like a 60m sprint). I personally prefer watching the longer sprints as they seem a bit more tactical, but that's pure personal preference. Even 100m has an element of maintaining speed... as it goes beyond about 70m, rather than purely reaching peak speedIs the issue with speed climbing its essentially a 100m and it would benefit from being 400m/800m?
Where did you get that from,?I know most sports have been boosted by gambling but track cycling just full on admits that betting is its sole purpose.

Boardman and the other commentator speak about it all the time.
