Sorry for being completely ignorant but what's the craic with the Superbowl this year? As in who's playing and who should I support?! I plan to watch it this year, I'm more of an NBA man when it comes to American sports, watching the Celtics as I write.

18 (Peyton Manning), arguably the greatest QB (who has not had the greatest teams to play with) just made it to the Superbowl, beating Tom Brady's Patriots (who have had arguably the best team for the last few years, enabling Brady to win 3(?) superbowls, and cause the Patriot fans to claim Brady is better than Manning because he's won more superbowl rings, and nothing to do with the far superior defence/receivers/cheating the Pat's have had).
Support the Bronco's in the bowl, as they're up against the Seattle Seahawks (who's defence is nicknamed 'The Legion of BOOM') or the 49ers (who a certain TRF poster supports, so will be fun to wind up, as I'm a Phins fan and we suck

)

Grand! When asked who I support in the NFL I always say the Vikings, shortly followed by "Because they're ****ing Vikings man!" but yeah I know **** all about the sport apart from what you can learn through playstation games!

Wasn't deliberate by Welker, but bloody effective

Manning's game management 'out defended' the Pats defence. The only way to stop him from scoring is to keep him off the field (as the chargers showed regular season), and he managed to use up so much time in his drives when he could have gone long, that the Pats had no choice in the end but to go for the passing game, allowing him back on the field.

Peyton is a god but let's remember the Patriots let Welker go too. Hope it's Seahawks too as I think the running game of Seahawks vs Broncos defence will be fun

Bronco's backroom staff going to be really busy, were a lot of bust up Bronco's at the end of that game. Luckily it's a 2 week break before the 'Bowl though.

True but having backed the Broncos at start of season @ 20/1 I'm hoping

Peyton is really getting better as playoffs go on and offence going well. And hell an defence and keep Brady to numbers he had today is a defence that has goods. For quality I hope it's Seahawks but for Broncos I hope it's 49ers as I think Kappernick will try too much and their offence will be easier to contain.

Regards injuries I think the 2 week break, fact it's Super Bowl and that they all looked like ****les that injuries will be ok
