NFL Thread

I think it's a conspiracy against the Welsh NFL fans then! ;)

Sleep time for me, but nice to have this conversation. Will hope to keep it up throughout the season :)

Ive never tried the NFL's streaming service, not needed to. 3 games a week on Sky and whoever is showing Monday Nights plus I can get games elsewhere, so shhh.

Yeah I've had no issues with stream speed! So any word on whether we will have it here in NZ for the regular season?
It's free now, but it's pre-season.

But here's what it says on the website:
*NFL Game Pass is being offered for free in your territory. The availability of free access to NFL Game Pass is not guaranteed and may be terminated by the NFL at any time. Certain restrictions apply. NFL Game Pass is only available to users located outside the United States, Mexico, Bermuda, Antigua, the Bahamas, and any U.S. territories, possessions and commonwealths. Game broadcasts included in the service are available only in English. For a full description of device-specific features, requirements, limitations, and other information, visit our
Source

Plus this suggest that we're going to be free again:

Cheers. Yeah I had read their disclaimer and heard from others it is likely only free for the pre season (which makes sense) However I have yet to see anything definitive so have hopes we will get the whole season...
I'm certainly hoping it's free. Also, at this point, when you click on "Plans and pricing" it redirects you back to the 'Watch Games' page. So I think it should remain free - I mean, if they were going to charge, why not open up the purchasing now?

Hopefully this is not just wishful thinking...

Hey! I need your help. I will play the NFL Fantasy in another forum, so if you can help me in the choice of players I will be grateful.

Just give me some information which players choose because you know more than me about NFL that I'm just a rugby union fan

Cheers

I suggest going with the top rated running backs first. Usually, (depending on which site you're on) they'll have automatically ranked the palyers for you; I suggest just going with that ranking for now. The downside of that is you might miss some potential sleepers; but that's minor issue I reckon.

The only thing you have to worry about is players that are out for the year or a significant amount of time (or you know, just downright arrested; Aaron Hernandez). I suggest going to rotowire or something to keep you updated on injured players.

First competitive Football tonight. I'm trying to pay more attention to College Football seeing as this is where the players come from. Got the North v South Carolina match tonight (which the NY Post said was an inter-state game, oh dear)

I'll take the Gamecocks.

I know bugger all about CFB apart from the big schools like Alabama, LSU and the like but sort of follow Oregon purely based on their jerseys which are so nice. Want one but Nike don't seem to make them in fat b*****d sizes.

That said, the Alabama v Georgia SEC Championship game from last year was a belter of a game that could easily best some NFL games.

YEah Oregon's jerseys are awesome. CFB jerseys >>> NFL jerseys.

Ouch!

Just watched ex rugby player Daniel Adongo make his first catch for the Colts! Cool to see a rugby player in the NFL.

Ouch!

Ohhhhh that's so dirty for someone accustomed to watching rugby union!

Cheers

Perfecty legal though and thats why they wear the pads and helmet. Should point out thats rare, especially on QB's
ooooh I hate those "hits". Just adopt rugby style tackling, NFL/CFB, and you'll get rid of most of these issues...

I understand that in the NFL that's legal, but that would be crazy in rugby without pads and helmet.

Cheers

It's also illegal to jump to evade a tackle in Rugby, so I think the ball carrier would be in the wrong.

I really wouldn't recommend attempting this without pads...

Hell, wouldn't recommend it WITH pads!
