Henson has a huge boot on him, like Carter.

Henson is too slow as a runner for my liking.....still contemplating whether to drop him or keep him.....sometimes he makes a break but he is too slow against other International midfield backs.
In real life (this is probably more for Northern Hemisphere people), is Gavin Henson actually any good? As haven't seen anything to prove it yet... [/b]
Highly overrated.

Check out this thread for more information...

Man after reading your guys posts, I really must get this game I too was a JLR freak, multi player all the way, Rugby 2005 put me off abit as the multi player wasn't in the category of JLR, 2006 sounds abit more to my liking.

just one query, um the speed of the game is it like lomu where its all action? no waiting for lineouts and the like, that really put me off 2005 u spent half the time waiting around for the next play to begin.

Good to see guys out there who sound like me hehe, keep up the multi gaming guys we may have to start a club or something?

Yeah, could do at some stage.

I'd say that this game plays faster action-wise than '05 with a slightly slower framerate.

It's a hell of a lot more fun multi-player than '05 though, and probably sits directly in-between '05 and JLR for fun, fast multiplayer action.

It's a big improvement on the last two years!

This game would be more the bomb if the halfback didn't automatically move forward when he picked the ball up from the ruck.............imagine the loads of more attacking options available then........

NgatiDread.......at first the multiplayer experience will be a bit confusing.......but the more you play it the more it will make sense......slowly but surely your defence will tighten up.

Blinside snipes would improve greatly if halfback didn't step into ruck, would be very dangerous, but still easy to spot...

Multiplayer is the way to go too, a lot more enjoyable, so stick at it...

i found if the other player puts all their players into the ruck then you snipe works well, but if they dont then it doesnt work to well at all. though this is just from the one person i have played and only had 2 games (he said we had 3 but i cant remember)

Haha is kinda hard to remember how many games you play under the influence...

Find that if there are the odd players on the blind, either box kick and chase with winger, a low power one hardly evers gets to the fullback, basically just tap button; or hold direction forward while passing to winger on blindside and he'll sprint onto it and if you are quick enough can already be around the defence before thay've reacted. Then it's 1 on 1 or set up a ruck for another attack.

If you do the second one while ruck is still forming, quite often you can catch retiring opposition players offside too :)

you bought that last 50 posts up pretty quick dude
Holy sh*t I did too! Am finding there's quite a few interesting things in TRF, and I usually can't shut up :D

The Spot The Ball is fun, but not many playing at the moment. Our paper ran a few last year, so got some doozies to post after that ones done... one of them no-one could get.

Sure do... and oh ok, didn't know that, probably a good thing otherwise I'd be not far behind you in a week :)

But seriously, it'll take a good year or so for those numbers...

Yeah, and then change his hair, tone down his skin, fix all the other things wrong with him...

Sh*t, no ones got that much time on their hands

Henson isn't exactly Sonic the Hedgehog though is he?

...Actually, if he dyed himself blue he would look like him at least...

Just finished another world cup comp yesterday. Unfortunately I came third..........in the draw I had second choice and chose England so that the other guys wouldn't pick them.....the only problem was that I was not used to them and did not find out how they click at comp level until it was too late...

....just goes to show that you really need to know a team inside out if you want to win at comp level as any weakness is exploited......and my inexperience even with a good team was not good enough.....

....I should have stayed with SA.....

I was in Auckland in the weekend for work and tried to get a hold of Gay-Guy on the Friday night for a game, but fate conspired against it.

Still, he rang me on the Sunday, (I was unfortunately back at Ch-Ch airport) and we had a quick talk about organising a tourney for later in the year.

Our first idea was Wellington. A good central meeting place. What do you other multi-player guys think? Labour Weekend?
