He's not naming a captain for the England squad because he wants Borthwick back.
The article says he's having both the "Senior" squad and the Saxons training together so that he can switch players round if they do/don't perform, and that he's not naming the captain yet because he wants to see if Borthers performs.

So basically, dropping Borthwick to the Saxons was just to apease the critics, and he's got to promote him/make him captain again by the AIs. I reckon Attwood will be off, and Lawes won't start again until Borthwick is injured or retires.


Also, going on about how Barkley is naff and he'd rather a journeyman than him. Barkley didn't have the best summer tour, but to drop him from both squads is ludicrous. Drop Hape, drop Barritt, neither should be in an England shirt anyway.


The sooner Johnson goes, the better.
