Mike Phillips sacked

Yeah......sorry, little prick!!

Oh, I don't care. I still like him anyway. I think I 'fell in love' with him back when I realized he couldn't seem to pass the ball from a scrum without doing a belly flop. It just amused me...and - seeing as I'm here - I'm obviously easily amused. :D

Bayonne issued a release to say no final decision made and regrets the speculation about the sacking as trying to undermine the team before tonight's game!!

Wasn't he considering retiring after the Lions, seems like there might not be a better time than now as i can't see any club wanting him.

I bet you Bayonne have behind doors gone back on their word to sack him because probably they might have to pay out money to terminate his contract which would porbably be far more if they just allowed his contract to run out.

That was just internationally - he said it's harder to get a contract (presumably in France) if you're an international as they don't want to have to release you.

He is in breach of his contract for gross misconduct therefore no big pay out in fact, they might fine him loads and make money out of Sir Richard Head after all.

But remember Phillips is likely suffered the raw end of the deal. Considering the other two had a small fine and are back playing.

This is not the first time he has screwed up, he has already had official warnings, he is well known for his antics around Bayonne, the media are now saying that he may not have be en sacked, in fact nobody but himself and his club know the real deal, but he is not playing tonight and everything will soon be out with the rest of the dirty washing!!!

Every time I see this thread ***le I think it's about a groin injury.

Not sure if that has any relevance to anything.

Shane Williams tweets he has been made a scapegoat as "his sacking will free up a lot of euros and ease the pressure of having to lose him during international duties. It also takes the pressure off the team for their poor league position"

Shane.....if you have nothing educated to say, I would suggest you stay off Twitter............this is his third breach and, incidentally, the first for the the other two!!

But it is also quite a valid reason as to why they would also want rid of him!

Shane is entitled to his opinion and as I said its a valid one too. Yes he has past form but what he mentions is quite right.

Well none of us know the exact situation, but it's safe to assume that it'd be like any job. If you get yourself enough formal warnings eventually something's going to tip it over the edge.

As i said previously Bayonne are now denying the sacking, but that is a report by the Media and it does not come from the club no press conference at the moment from the club, they have said nothing, everything is media hype!!!! Why would Bayonne need to save money Phillips wages were budgeted into the clubs finances at the beginning of the season, his bar bill probably was not and therefore Shane Williams got confuse between the 2, the bar bill being much lager than his wages!!!!!!!!!!!!!
