Melbourne Rebels v British and Irish Lions (25/06/13)

Faletau's tackle count has been surprisingly low this tour actually. Normally he's hyperactive there, but this tour Heaslip's tackled more and that might be part of Gatland's reasoning.

Really can't agree with anyone who says Heaslip does the tight work well though - particularly in attack. He does a job, that's about it. I rate Faletau the better carrier there. I'd rather have Heaslip on the ball a bit wider, sure, but around the fringes no. Both my general belief and what I've seen this tour.

Massive whingeing... no offense to the very cool Australians on these boards such as Zed and Insane asylum, but whenever I take a trip over to the Green and Gold rugby boards after a game all I hear is whingeing of this ilk... does Jim Tucker seriously think that Halfpenny is slotting those goals because of Jenkins standing behind him? I presume he'd say no? Well then why does it matter... he even uses the phrase 'security blanket'... as something Jenkins gives Halfpenny... really?

Australian sports journalists should focus instead on how to make their kickers slot more goals. I certainly would have no qualms about Oz having the coach there with him. :)

Thanks for the honourable mention lol :)

i think the article is a 'fill in' because they ran out of content this afternoon and also to make a few waves leading into the 2nd test... You could call it "poking the lion" nothing more.

i was thinking the other day, we should throw a stack of coin at Jenkins to become our kicking coach, he's obviously doing something right, not only halfpenny, but Farrell was knocking them over from the touch line the other night like he was 10m out right in front.

the thing about o'connor is he stopped doing that exaggerated robot move before the kick, but he seemed like a much better kicker when he was doing it. Hopefully lealiifano can stay out there more than 45 seconds this week as I rate his place kicking
