Couldn't find anything in English about this (it has been confirmed yesterday) but here are few articles in French.

Montpellier (MHR) will have Trinh-Duc as a fly half next to Nonu. Can't wait for the next season.

I'd be interested if it turns out to be true, but I'm not sold on it. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Don't know what to think. I'm wondering if he'll be able to adapt, and even try to. I'd be so ****** if he didn't try to learn french, and mix in with the locals...

Why do you have such a bad feeling ? Nonu has always seemed to be a nice guy (have a look at his videos on youtube, he shooted some videos while travelling with the AB all around the world. When he was in Marseille he went into a local restaurant with McAllister in order to taste a Bouillabaisse or something like that, it was quite funny).

I'm worried because Mintpellier is not a big club yet, and if for some reason things go wrong with him it could have dire consequences. Are we able to handle such a player on and off the field? Is he prepared to not only play but also work his ass off the field? That being said, I'd be at least very impatient if it's confirmed...

One of the NZ'lander would be able to be more definate I'm sure but I think you'll find any top international very professional and willing to give their all for a new club. He's still very young as well and I'm sure this isn't a holiday/retirement deal for him if it pans out. Great signing IMO.

I hope you're right, but locker room chemistry is a very tricky thing...That being said if he's willing and motivated his partnership with Trinh-Duc and Doumayrou woul be awesome. Gottabe sorry for Frenandez though, played very well at 12 for us all season...

Didn't know you were a Montpellier fan, Charles.

I was born and bred there. I am primarily a Les Bleus fan but Montpellier has started to look good in recent seasons... I've been living away for 10 years now (Paris and Tokyo) and I am planning to go back there next year...It's a great city, I love it. I'm actually going back to business school in Toulouse to do a sports management masters and try to get a job in the MHR...:)

Aout: I think it's a massive pisstake by Boudjellal. We don't need a centre, we need a tighthead prop, a hooker and a number 8. Rumours are that we are trying to get Swarzewski (not gonna happen) and Parisse (that would be nice).

That's great news. My brother-in-law lives in Toulouse and my wife is originally from Tarbes. I'm actually going back to school to get a degree in English as a foreign language so that we can move back.

With a city like Montpellier, it is great to see them having success in rugby after floating around the relegation spots for so long.

Toulouse announced it on their website, so thought it was official.

Called it. The French media is terribly unreliable when it comes to player transfers, especially with NZ players. Don't think McAlister has admitted to joining Toulouse yet either...I think Nonu explained it pretty well.

Well many SH players are behaving like ass**** as well. I can remember Mitchell who pre-signed something with a French club (can't remember which one) in order to put pression on the Oz federation. He ended up getting a bigger number on his futures wageslips.

Riiiight. It's not the French media's fault, it's the players for not signing what they're reporting. Many players will obviously be in talks with clubs regarding their futures, and to put pressure on their own clubs. It's hardly a new phenominum. Look at Sonny Bill Williams...

You probably didn't read what I wrote. Have a look at the bold part of text.

Edit : Btw there's a difference between putting pression on a club and pre-signing a paper.

I read your post fine, I just disagree with it. What do you mean by pre-signing a paper? You don't sign a contract to later sign a contract...If he signed a legal contract with a French club for however many seasons, then he would obviously have to play for them or deal with the legal penalties, but as it stands I have not heard anything about him signing with a club.

Nonu flatly denied having signed anything with anyone!!

If I had to guess, I would say that some French Sports Jocks have been interviewing their laptops? Nothing new there then!!

It was Boudjellal (Toulon owner) taking the **** at Fabien Galthie (Montpellier coach) during an interview after the game...Galthie didn't deny so the journos could claim they thought it was true...
