London 2012

The worst thing is that they can swim 1.5km, bike 43km, then skill run 10km quicker than me :(

That was a quality race - gutted for Jenkins, but what a finish!

Fingers crossed the Brownlee brothers can bring home the bacon next week!

Two golds and a silver so far this morning, all from the rowing - not bad:D

That Silver race was a cracker, looked to have it but get pipped by the Danes, had to restart race after the GB seat broke. They looked wrecked physically and emotionally at the end and they get shoved in front of a microphone. I don't agree with that

So serious/angry bro! I don't not like each martial art - in fact, I actually love judo, wrestling, and can appreciate a bit of taekwondo. I'm simply suggesting some ideas.

Is that ok with you?

Angry? haha over something some poster on trf wrote? okay you got me bro.

You can have your idea, i font like it though.

If you were going to rid of a sport from the Olympics why not get rid of those that have higher level of comp outside the olympics.

Ennis just knocked that out of the park!
That last 100m of the 800 was superb.

She's just incredible, don't know how else to describe it other than that.

I'm sure Mo Farrah has made Somalia proud.........
Seriously though fair play to him and Rupp

I've just tweeted that watching the success tonight I'm feeling the same as I did for the GS back in March. The sense of watching amazing feats by amazing athletes. I'm chuffed to bits.

They have the same coach, he must be some technician. Especially for getting whitey into the medals.

EDIT: They had better show these penalties....

Great day for the hosts. Now I'm going to indulge the football fan in me. Here's England's record in penalty shoot-outs (Don't be offended if I include GB in this. Even with the 3 Welsh lads they couldn't get it together):

2012 Olympics: Team GB vs South Korea - Loss
2012 European Championships: England vs Italy - Loss
2006 World Cup: England vs Portugal - Loss
2004 European Championships: England vs Portugal - Loss
1998 World Cup: England vs Argentina - Loss
1996 European Championships: England vs Germany - Loss
1990 World Cup: England vs Germany - Loss

I'm glad lost the football, to be fair.
Even them being part of the Olympic GB set up doesn't change that they're all a load of overpaid diving prima donna's - that and football's gash anyway.

Now that that's over and done with we can get back to the real Olympics :D

Interesting to see Andy Murray is guaranteed at least two silver medals now, and his singles final is a rematch of the Wimbledon final and being played in Wimbledon too.

I had to read both what olyy said and your edited version of what he said around 3 times before I spotted the difference.

It only took me two times :p

Anyways.... a great day for Great Britain. The Highlights of the day for me were the New Zealand's bronze in the light-weight double sculls, and the epic women's triathlon finish. I haven't seen much of the sailing, but it look like we have a few kiwi crews doing well, which is great to see.
