LIONS PICK THEMSELVES

Heaslip was a good player but not in Faletaus class, is coming back from injury and getting better with each game.

Probably why Faletau got nominated for world player of the year twice and European player of the year four times...oh wait.

Overall careers between the two is an interesting debate but 09 Heaslip vs 21 Faletau is not.

Not much to add to what's been said but even Gatland picked Heaslip over Faletau in 2/3 opportunities and he wasn't keen on picking Irish players over Welsh. Definitely a disservice to Heaslip to say he wasn't in Faletau's class.

So a fun question

The Lions satrting XV that day had

Rob Kearney
Tommy Bowe
BOD
Jamie Roberts
Luke Fitzgerald
Stephen Jones
Mike Phillips
Jamie Heaslip
David Wallace
Tom Croft
Paul O'Connell
Simon Shaw
Adam Jones
Matthew Rees
Gethin Jenkins

Bench

Ross Ford
Andrew Sheridan
AW Jones
Martyn Williams
Harry Ellis
Ronan the Destroyer
Shane Williams

Out of that team, if you could pick 3 players to take on tour this year, who would it be?

Kearney
Jenkins
Heaslip

All teams would be better with BOD in, but our needs are greater in other positions so it's Jenkins, POC and Philips.
I love Paulie, but have to say I quite like the second row options, so I'd probably agree with Leinster fan. BOD at 13 with Henshaw = Spunk

I'm really hoping CVC get a drive to survive type thing going in the 6n.
Apparently Amazon are really keen to make a behind the scenes Rugby series (they were in talks with a few premiership clubs before COVID ruined the season)

Considering the rumours about them showing some Six Nations games next year, and also the Autumn internationals, I think it's inevitable they make one
