Leinster v Munster

Brilliant result.

Seeing Munster get narrowly beaten is good, but seeing them get hammered is even better.

OK, so Healy for the AI without a doubt. Sexton did, well although any OH would've looked good behind that pack.

All I can say is I wouldn't want to be Northhamton next week, Munster are going to have a point to prove.

Ok, so how much of a ban do we think Hayes will get, and who will be the Irish tighthead if he is missing?

congrats to Leinster, better in every facet of the game, except maybe scrum half, thought o'leary did ok cosidering the amount of ruck inspectors in the pack tonight.

theres no stopping the rise of Sexton, or the fall of o'gara. i'd bench the useless c*** for next week, Warwick is much better. Thats not saying much.
Worried for Ireland in the AI's if the Munster fowards don't shake off this lethargy. Although, i guess we're talkin POC DOC Fla Wallace, Maybe Horan and Leamy. Healy to start for the AI's Mcglochlain, jennings, o' brien to make the bench if Deco's feeling adventureous? but twould be hard on the above who will undoubtedly put in some good performances beofre then.

Also love teh mite's complacency already.

I started having an out of body experience once Hayes got the red.

That was an upsetting match but they didn't give up and I'll never stop wearing my Munster jersey with pride.

Hopefully they'll rebound for next Weekend!

C'MON MUNSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess it would be a shame to scratch out Munsters name, you know, being as they've already engraved it...

No, no i'm just saying that as a munster supporter i'm very happy to be going into the group as underdogs, leaving the hype and pressure build on N'hampton. The ball is in their court. Lets see what they can do.

I'm not bigging up Saints - despite that they will beat Munster next week - because Perpignan are the form team in the group. They're in seriously good shape right now.

Well THAT was fun. Didnt we only go and beat them 30-0. Nil! Zero, Zilch, Zip ........ eh Nothing.

Munster were absolutely demolished up front. You never see as much from the stands as you see on TV but it was pretty clear that Leinster were up for it. Seeing Heaslip plough into Williams and I think it was Fitzgerald hit DeVilliers within 5 mins kinda set the tone for the night. This was a level of performance that I didnt think leinster were capable of so early in the season.

I dont think Munster were particularly bad, they were just beaten up up front, comprehensively battered from 1 to 8. Its rare you see it but leinster seem to understand how to do it and have the raw power to do it. I'm not sure (having not seen them) if the Saints have that same dynamism up front. If not, expect a totally different performance from the men in red.

The highlights for me were O'Driscoll skinning DeVilliers for his try and Sexton ******* over O'Gara for the 80 minutes.

Ah ya, forgot about them. Its gonna be tough, maybe the kick up the hole we got tonight will stand to us. Also i think Leinster perfoming like that are as tough as it will get. We were flying this time last year and came up short later on. Maybe this will be the opposite this year.

Oh and John Hayes ......... I saw the replays in the stadium so its not 100% clear but it looked pretty delibrate to me. Totally out of character but f***ing nasty all the same. Funny thing is, he wasnt the only one. Its as if every Munster forward was giving him a shoeing (and rightly so) but none of them connected to his face properly, so he decided to do it properly.

Having said that, Healy had a smile a mile wide on his face coming back on for Wright so it obviously didnt bother him that much.

Lawks! Only just heard about this. Setanta a big loss.

Mind you, BOD taking JdV no big surprise.

They are calling for heads all over the place over on munsterfans. While blaming the referee for hayes sending off  Kinda funny really.

Oh and while I'm at it, this guy always posts up some amazing pictures of the games. Check rugbypicture.co.uk for the index but here are a few good ones.

Is this Leinster blindside, wharrevahisnameis, all that?
Oh and why couldn't BOD do the stepping of JdV and scoring of tries in the test series instead??!!!

Kevin McLaughlin. Is he all that? Hmmmm not sure. He's part of the unit which at the moment is operating extremely well. Between himself, Jennings, Heaslip and O'Brien they are operating at a different level.

And Drico DID do it in the test series. He just offloaded to give Jamie Roberts the easy run-ins all the time.

Very good

Munster haven't really been performing well of late, especially up front. Scarlets gave them a bit of a hammering in that department a few weeks ago (minus the returning lions of course), it's just they aren't of the same class as Leinster to give them a drubbing. The Dragon's forwards also performed well against Munster for the first 40mins. What's up I wonder?

Not sure if they do have the time to sort this out, the HC starts next week! However it might just be that the reigning HC champions are just better at the moment. To be perfectly honest, it would be nice to see a HC quarter final without Munster for once, no offense intended.

What a game...

I wasn't expecting such a result. Munster got utterly battered up front, their tight five seemed inexistant at times and did not provide a safe platform for the back rowers, who seemed disconnected and lost. Sexton outplayed O'Gara -- big time. Kevin McLaughlin was class, and the centre pairing of BOD and Gordon D'Arcy skinned JdV and Mafi.

For a split second I thought Munster was going to pull out a comeback, but despite their improvement in open play, they lost possession quite easily.

JdV had a taste of his own medicine.

Great game, I had a lot of fun. Let's see if Leinster can keep it this way.
