Leinster Rugby - Montpellier (21/01/2012, 13:30)

Some nice runs there by Heaslip, Healy and Ruddock.

EDIT: Good try by Healy has been playing well. How must Montepellier feel 25 0 down after playing decently.

Great result Heaslip, Healy and Kearney all had good games hope Healy's ok.

I reckon if Sexton was playing they would have put 40 on them, Madigan did well though, considering.

Looking at old threads I wonder; Olly do you still think Healy's a poor mans Sheridan I couldn't understand how you could think that when you said but now you'd be clinically insane if you still think it.

Meh, he's all right but not as good as Ireland/Leinster fans think he is.

What's gone wrong with SOB as well? Post WC hangover?

I wish I knew, had a nice try but think it's teams are wary and he's probably tired. He's shown if teams switch off he can still damage them, he's still carrying loads just not making as spectacular yardage and I think he's attracting attention from Heaslip allowing his resurgence which is good. I'd like him to get a decent rest and maybe his spark will return.

As they converted him to 7 he has lost a huge amount of weight in his chest and legs from what I can see....As a result he doesn't pack the same punch going forward I reckon...however I always look to his stats and it cheers me up

Cian Healy was very good with ball in hand yesterday, but in my opinion is inconsistent at scrums, Jgenti and Leleimalefaga were getting on top of him in the first half

I would still rate Sheridan above him, as although Sheridan isn't the most special player in the world, I can't remember him ever being dominated in the scrums, however in the loose I always thought Sheridan perhaps didn't make best use of his size and past as a number 8 so maybe Healy would get an advantage there

I will probably be accused of Bias here...Because it is possibly correct but Healy is steadily improving at scrumtime...and is a top class ball carrier and is a bit of a fan of putting in heavy shots...As I don't watch alot of the Aviva premiership I don't see a lot of Sheridan but when I did see him all I remember is him getting chinned and dominated by the mighty mutt Julian White.

Healy is also much younger and everyone knows props are like a fine wine and Healy can actually stay fit.

Tell that to John Hayes

Hayes got his first cap at the age of 27 in 2000. Most props are in their peak at that age whilst he kept going for another ten years. Just imagine if he had started playing rugby at an earlier age, the amount of Caps he could have achieved is astounding.

Either way I have no doubt Healy be one of the worlds best props in a matter of years.

Johns Hayes was s***t.

That's not a big insult coming from someone who doesn't know how many letters are in the word ****.

Leinster were good yesterday. Heaslip had a class match hopefully he's coming into form. Worrying that we couldn't get 4 tries though.

Not really. Firstly we didn't need them and secondly you have to remember this was far from a full strength Leinster team. Hagan, Ruddock, Madigan and D'arcy won't be involved come the QF and we'll be a bit of a different porspect. I was far more impressed with our defensive effort yesterday. That's the kind of thing that shows real champion pedigree, not putting in 4 tries when it's not particularly needed.
