Yeah, that won't happen.

Clearly you don't read, otherwise uou would have known that PSDT is out injured for a while, and Willem has a stomach injury.

Why not pick Arno Botha? He was immense, and I can't see why he won't be picked. Oh wait, he's a bull. And of course that's the only reason why you won't pick him.

I agree Flow and Botha had good games. Not too impressed by Spies though. I think we can do better and Spies is standing in the way IMO.

I actually was a bit hard on Spies, I rewatched the game today, and he hit a lot of rucks and was fairly effective off the back of the scrums. I would like to see Lappies play but it would be a bit unfair to do it on the back of that performance, especially since he seems to be working on some of what has made him poor in the past. Ebem is awesome and my absolute favourite player in a bok jersey but he probably needs to work a bit harder, with Kruger in as well we're missing a couple more "workhorse" type players. It also explains why Vermaak was caught at the back of the rucks more than a few times (but doesn't fully exonerate him from guilt).

Other than that, restarts are an inexcusable thing to not get right, and while bad scrums are certainly understandable against quality, they should never be acceptable. SA getting dominated at scrum time causes me physical pain.

I have nothing against blue bulls players, if you read up the thread you will see i said JJ Engelbrecht was my man of the match who is a Bull. Just that i thought Arno Botha was very average for me, I bet Siya Kolisi will do a better job than him when given the chance!!

Would love to see Lappies in at 7 and Botha at 8 where he will play his best rugby
Further would like to see Du Plessis anywhere but in the Bok side, any other one in the group to start imo

JJ impressed me a lot, he could work on his defensive channel a bit more but also Jean and Bryan should guide him (maybe this is the Boks plan for him to rush...?)
Bjorn did score yes thanks to his pace but any speedy winger could have done what he did, would give another winger a go next time

In general satisfied with the "new" HM approach, so is Willie I guess ;)

guys like Van Zyl, Serfontein and Labuschagne are yet to make their appearence I am still very hopeful for the rest of the year.

Its hard to take you seriously when you get the basics wrong.

I see this type of comment more and more, rugby is not an individual sport, and when you mix and match regularly you get bad results. You have to pick a tactic, then a team that fits the bill, then stick with it. Sure, if a player did thing horribly wrong then you make changes, but not just because.

sure and I agree with you, but this is the time to test your depth and HM said he will use the first 2 games to give players an outing.
Based on that is my comments

Yeah, HM said he will rotate. And According to Supersport, Pat Lambie and Ruan Pienaar will be our pivots.

So the question is, where will the rotations all take place??

I think, based on last week we can assume that Nyakane and Coenie, along with Chilliboy will be our starting front row. At lock... Hmmmm, maybe Flip and Franco?? Flankers? Will Flouw play again, or will Marcell Coetzee, Lappies and Arno be our loosies? or if Willem Alberts is fit, then swap Arno for Willem, even though Arno has been the form flanker in the super rugby tournament. Wingers, that leaves Mvovo and Aplon on the wings, with Jan Serfontein and JDV at the Centres. and most likely Zane at fullback.

I just wonder, whether HM will do a full 180 and swap the entire starting 15, apart from his captain???

no, he will keep the core
I see a few changes in the front row, not at lock, then in the loosies and hafbacks
Maybe Jan and Jean to 13 and one change on the wing, think and hope he will keep Willie at 15

Rotating Zane in just seems pointless, it's not like he needs test caps.
Not to mention needlessly cruel to the SA public.

I intensely dislike the Bulls and even I have to say Botha was immense. Also you want to start the same frontrow that got slaughtered? And how ironic is it that you say OOSTHUIZEN gives a lot of penalties. Have you seen Jannie play? He is a penalty machine. (very great player, love the doc, but he is getting past his prime).

Anyway...

12. Jan Serfontein 13. JdV would be very interesting.(Just to see how Serfontein would do at 12) I'd also like to see a bona fide winger on the bench (We need to start blooding Habana's replacement).

It looks like Scotland should be our easiest match of the 'series' so I'd love to see a new frontrow start (give Jannie and Beast some rest if you want them to play 4N and the rest of the Superrugby) and maybe a new face in the forwards. Kollisi or Lappies on the bench at least.
