when you put it like that the injury crisis doesn't seem that bad or am I merely allowing the Wigglesworth replacing Ellis to blind that opinion.

So, what will we get from that for the "1st choice"?

1. Payne
2. Hartley
3. Wilson
4. Borthwick
5. Deacon
6. Moody
7. Armatidge
8. Crane
9. Care
10. Wilkinson
11. Cueto
12. Geregthy/Tindall
13. Tindall/Hipkiss
14. Monye
15. Foden

Not brilliant, but better then previous years I guess.

Watching him last week, Wigglesworth was rather shite. Not to Ellis' levels of shitiness, but still pretty bad.

It'll be between Hodgson and Care - The Harrison flattener getting the nod.

Wow you must really have no number 10 if you have to pick goode[/b]

There are plenty of 10s about - the one position we're not short of cover - Sadly however the 57 need to shoehorn as many friends in as possible.

Another squad to keep up the fine English tradition of aiming to defeat the competition 6-3? ;)

You've got Wilko in the squad. Even if he misses seven drop goals, you'll still have a good 30 ponits worth of them on the board.

Well considering all the injuries, there wasn't much scope for Johnson going too far away from what I had down. He's differed a bit in the forwards but I have no complaints, Steve Thompson is a surprise inclusion but I haven't seen him play since 03 so maybe he has returned to his world class form, or maybe he's just in there because of 03. Where is Nick Kennedy?

Backs... again, not too many surprises. Andy Goode is a predictable surprise. His inclusion for England in the past has always symbolised a bad run of form for the team, so let's hope he doesn't get game time. Dominic Waldouck is unlucky to miss out however.

My team:

1. Payne
2. Hartley
3. Wilson
4. Kay
5. Borthwick
6. Croft
7. Armitage (Moody will be picked here)
8. Crane
9. Care
10. Wilkinson
11. Monye
12. Geraghty
13. Hipkiss (Tindall will play here)
14. Strettle
15. Cueto (please not Foden. He is not a Test level fullback, play him on the wing or 9 if need be).

16. Thompson
17. Bell
18. Lawes
19. Moody
20. Hodgson
21. Tait
22. Banahan

The EPS

I saw Ryan Lamb a few times with the London Irish, he looked good to me. Don't you think he should be there instead of Goode ? I know he can be erratic, but that's the same with Geraghty after all.

Cipriani is (again) injured at the moment ?

Ah see Cipriani has the problem of being a dickish prima donna which naturally makes a forward like Johnson hate him. To be honest a little while away from the limelight could do Cips the world of good. He could very easily fall into the Henson trap which, even from an Irish poin of view, would be a shame. A man with undoubted talent.

He's got a broken leg again.

Plus as you say he's a pre-Madonna, not good enough to play for England.

At least Steffon Armitage is in great form right now.
So there's a wee bit of hope for you Low Swinging Charioteers.
