Italy v New Zealand - 23/11/2024 (20.10)

Why do I want them to win?
Just because I like them, there's no special reason tbh. I like their style of playing, they play "harmoniously" (if I can use this word), like one machine, at least it was like that during recent matches. It's not against Italy, I just can't sincerely wish a win for Italy when I like NZ much more

Because not everyone is a NZ hater.

Do they give TJ and or Cane their last game? In some ways would be nice but also a wasted opportunity for someone else.

ive seen a few people suggesting they get (another) farewell game and im just about ready to give up on rugby

it has been blatantly clear there is still a big gap between super rugby and international...hell...unless forced by injury the coaches seem very reluctant to start new players unless they have done years off the bench....this game....this game....is the perfect type of game to blood new players and bridge the gap...its still an international....but a long way of south africa or ireland at home

im actually embarrassed for these guys that have been kissed on the dick and had a farewell tour...their legacies are tarnished by stinting the development of the next generation

Italy might keep it close, for about 10 minutes. And then New Zealand will pull away...

This game is just a waste of time. That's not meant as a slight on Cane and Perenara who have both been great servants to the All Blacks over the years, but it would have been great as a neutral for their last match to be one of the big ones on the tour. Realistically the best Italy can hope for here is to score a couple of tries and be competitive for at least the first 40/50 minutes. 45 - 17 to the ABs.

yeah its interesting. italy jas had some good games in the last couple of years, but have been poor the last couple of games and weve destroyed them the couple times ever we hqve played out top team agaisnt them, like last year. and this is pretty much out topt team from.whats available according to what the selectors have done so far this year
razor must be keen to have a good final game or to keep the continuity. but sometimes using your best team again after a loss when you are them playong a much worse team doesnt actually get you the motivation you might otherwise get

...was nice knowing you haha. im just going to try and enjoy it, might see some.fun tries. and whether orr not it was the right call it will be good to see for one last time two guys who have given a lot over the years

I hate experienced players wasting caps at the best of times. England had it under Jones when he would play his most experienced players like Youngs regardless of the opposition and then when he retired we had a void of experienced scrum halves. Farewell games are just ridiculous. Maybe if one of them had broken a record or something. I mean Perenara hasn't even got over 100 caps.

Its not really a farewell game, the Selectors have just decided for whatever reason to play pretty much, or maybe actually, their top side.
