France are slowly gettin their gameplan back on tracks. Most of the positions are covered by at least decent players and after the England game I expect them to run rampage against Italy.

France by 20

My original though was France by a lot,
However it's in Rome, so I think France by <10 (France will still win, but it won't be as easy as it would be in Paris)

However if Medard is back, add three or four more tries worth of points on :p

I would stab at France to win by ~10. I would guess more but for the fact it's in Rome. If it was in the city of love, then I would say France by 20> The French will be hungry for a win after England.

France should take this one by at least 30 points (assuming they don't do their usual trick of lowering their standard to the common denominator).

Could be a lot closer tan some think. Italians last 60 against Wales was pretty good if they don't make the mistakes then they could cause a problem for France.

France should win this comfortably but Italy can give anyone a game on their day at home.

I agree with the previous posts that France will really want a win after the Enagland game. They bounced back strong two years ago after the Twickenham massacre, and really put the hurt on Italy. I hope they don't take Italy lightly, because it seems like the Italians could be a just a few steps away from beating the other nations.

Chabal starts ahead of Harinordoquy

France: 15 Maxime Médard, 14 Yoann Huget, 13 Aurelien Rougerie, 12 Yannick Jauzion, 11 Vincent Clerc, 10 Francois Trinh-Duc, 9 Dimitri Yachvili, 8 Sébastien Chabal, 7 Julien Bonnaire, 6 Thierry Dusautoir (c), 5 Lionel Nallet, 4 Julien Pierre, 3 Nicolas Mas, 2 William Servat, 1 Sylvain Marconnet
Replacements: 16 Guilhem Guirado, 17 Luc Ducalcon, 18 Jerome Thion, 19 Imanol Harinordoquy, 20 Morgan Parra, 21 Damien Traille, 22 Clement Poitrenaud.

Is Hairy-donkey carrying an injury or something?
Chabal has looked average at best this six nations (poor for the majority of it though - lots of knockons, giving away penaltys, and poor decision making ending in turnovers or unneeded pressure)

Chabal didnt play with Racing this weekend, contrary to Harinordoquy. I guess it's the main reason: to give players time to rest.

Nah, Lievremont's a bit daft, is all.

Italy XV versus France:

Masi - Benvenuti, Canale, Garcia, Mi. Bergamasco - (o) Orquera, (m) Semenzato - Barbieri, Parisse (cap), Zanni - Del Fava, Dellape - Castrogiovanni, Festuccia, Lo Cicero

Subs: Ghiraldini, Perugini, Geldenhuys, Derbyshire, Canavosio, Burton, McLean

Main surprise comes from Masi at fullback. Typical Mallett improv, hasn't proven him right often. On the other hand, McLean is the averagest player on earth so I guess it could be worth trying.

Yachvili out (injured during training), Parra will start. Julien Tomas, from Montpellier, has been called to the rescue.
Tomas is an excellent choice, although I would have prefered Dupuy... But the Montpelliérain has been awesome too this season.
