Italy v France

WOW! Well done Italy, so pleased for them

Yassss, finally.
Something for the haters. italy deserves to be in the 6 N. Once a year they show what they can.

ITALIA ITALIA ITALIA!!!

I've not been so excited about a rugby game since 2003.
That was awesome.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
HAHAHAHA!!!!

I have no words, no breath, Italy had left me nothing!!!! :D:D:D

Well that's screwed up my fantasy team big time.

Great result for Italy and the championship. I wonder how big a part Aironi and Treviso's entry in the Magners League played in this.

What a win!!! Great comeback, i've never been a fan of italian sport, but fair play to the boys.

And to think I skipped the second half (thinking France would turn on the style) in order to watch the Lions vs. Cheetahs game

:/

I'm nae happy with myself

First of all, sincere congratulations to Italia.
Not far from here I answered stupid posts, requesting Italia to leave out the 6N as they were not deserving their place, how unfair and false were these opinions.
Today's result is another proof, and don't tell me about a France black day. Ireland were not far from the same disapointment (weren't they Lynam1104?).

Presently reading a surprising interview of Lievremont published in the parisian edition of "Le Monde" on last wednesday. So incredible that I'm wondering for a fake...(Coach is presenting his numerous doubts, talking about a complete different game orientation based on an heavy Toulouse architecture and giving the team all responsabilities and initiative (For french readers, a post talking of it: http://forums.rugbyrama.fr/showthread.php?t=48019 ).
Edit: (unfortunately?) fake interview

I'm soo happy for Italy, and especially for Parrise and Mallet. Those two deserve this big time. Another player I'm really pleased for is Burgamasco, as a makeshift kicker he has unfortunately cost Italy a few wins, but today his kicking won them the match (after a slight hicup).

As for France. What will be the backlash after this? Lievremont has been slowly but surely digging his own grave with his rediculous selection policy. Will he be sacked now, just 6 months before the WC? Either way, not a great position for France to be in, but we all know they can come back from this in time for the WC. Welcome to the sh*t we've had to sufferfor years French supporters, I feel for you.

How good would Italy be if they had a consistently good 10. Their backs showed that today they can do it, just need the service to run. Masi was a monster today, brilliant running, solid in defense and comfy under the garryowens.

No worries up front, the pack particularly Zanni and Parrise (as per usual) were outstanding. Just find a good 10 please.

Delighted for Italy today.

They should have beaten Ireland, could have beaten Wales and finally beat France.

It aint pretty but these wins build confidence.

Congratulations to Italy today on a fantastic win, their historic first over opponents in France who normally batter them. As for France, where were you today?

Yes totally agree with the sentiments towards Bergamasco. He constantly gives 100% for the team and though he may not be the most elusive runner of the ball he will always take it into contact with full commitment (Similarly to Mark Cueto). I don't think he is given enough credit for his kicking. Last year the commentators slated his 'unorthodox' style but he isn't actually that bad. As long as he can perform a repeatable process with a predicable outcome (at least to him) then it is fine. The downside to his style is that his kicks do tend to arc to the left due to him kicking slightly across the ball (a la Matt Giteau) meaning that some kicks in wide positions on the right hand side of the pitch will be harder to judge accommodating for this. He definitely showed today he is a competent enough kicker under pressure.

Well done Italy! As mentioned earlier, I remember a thread about how Italy should be removed, and this really shows the ignorence. This is arguably the biggest win for Italy in a decade.
