Ireland v France

**** this ****. Seriously? Tom 'I'm useless' O'Leary. I'd say Johnny 10 is delighted. Slow ball and awful box kicks all day.

France by a bazillion.

Die...

I'm off to get a gun
Hold on now Wally is still a quality player .. just cant give as much as he used to... definately worthy of his place in the squad ..used as an impact player for one of the other backrow when Ferris is back

Well that's true I guess.

Cheers LN7 (kul nikname). I've decided not to kill David Wallace. You've talked me out of a life of crime

There's still Tom O'Leary....

I've been thinking about it and I reckon the only reason he's being picked is because he looks a tiny bit like Tommy Bowe. Perhaps just enough to confuse the French.

Leamy's inclusion is shocking. We've got a 7 in Wallace that won't last more than 50 minutes and yet as Jennings has been dropped we have no one to replace him. Genius on DK's part.

not the best selection but i dont think it matters

perhaps if jennings cullen and reddan were in or around the team, the mauling we're gonna get on sunday would be an excuse to drop them further down the pecking order.

This way when the inevitable happens, the older underperforming player will have nowhere to hide.

No I agree with Feic Jennings shouldve been on bench because.
Wally won't last 80.
Jennings can cover 6/7
Wally can do 6/7/8 as can O'Brien.
Like I presume Leamy is there incase Heaslip falls injured but we have 2 guys that can cover 8.

O'Leary is there for defense alone and that isn't enough.
If Ferris was fit I agree I think Sean O'Brien wouldve lost out which is crazy

Poor selection:

Jennings should be in for Wallace and Leamy should just **** off anyway Ireland's loss is Leinster's as he will be on the bench for the Aironi game.
O'leary should just give up. I'd rather have any other scrum half

France to win by 15 points and with a penalty try from a scrum.

Writing off of Ireland already? At home? With a somewhat decent team ....lads its a bit early to call it a game .. I reckon this will be a pretty close game with Ireland edging it. Stringer should be walking onto the team though.

On evidence of recent performances, individual quality, Strength in depth and less injuries I think France will win but as its the first 6N game at the Aviva who knows.

ireland's backrow problem will sort itself as they are all great players , i think the problem lies on the wing mc fadden defo cant fill in for bowe at the same effectiveness anway

McFadden can't fill in for Bowe no, but I'd rather McFadden and Horgan or Trimble than Earls. I also think Jennings should be 7

Earls is a class act...bit raw still but is a seriously good player and in any case Ireland are looking to build a top quality team Shaggy despite recent form is not the way forward Trimble...meh Earles, Bowe and McFadden IMO are the best prospects for the wing.

Luke still has a future is this team eh? Fergus is a centre first and foremost, that must be remembered. He'll be being lined up to take either the 12 or 13 jersey after D'arce and Drico pack it in.

Luke was very impressive at Fullback I thought ..pending a return from injury and to form of Jesus Kearney he should then be moved to wing but at the moment looks Ireland's best prospect at FB

Kearney will find it difficult to get back to form as I expect him to move from Leinster when he returns. Isa is one of the best fullbacks in the world and Kearney won't get back in the team

Isa can play in more than full back and is not Irish qualified Kearney's form of 08 to 09 was top quality..He gets his form back IRFU would bend over backwards to keep him.

Doubtful. Kearney is a high profile player, not the kind of player who has been traded between the provinces. I hope he stays in Leinster, he's been better than alot of people have been saying. I think we have a tendency to judge him harsher than the likes of Luke and Shaggy based on his miraculous form 2 years back. Let him get back to fitness, give Joe a bit of time to work with him and I'm sure he'll recapture the exciting running game we saw when he burst onto the scene.
