Ireland v France

this does have looks of the 2000 match written all over it. Don't think we could come back though like we did that day, or at this early stage can we hold on.

there's the Poitreanaud we want to see, probably being a bit harsh on him, a hard pitch is always gonna carry the ball further.

French defence has been very impressive when it's had to be, certainly better than Ireland's, unlucky to give away that penalty I think.

French being destroyed in the ruck. Having to play sneaky and failing. Another Penalty.

Incredible kick by Beauxis, 60 metres to touch with about 5 metres of angle.

oh you beauty, was just about to slate O'Connell for going into the centre but he kept it going superbly well, so apologies to the mighty one, but Heaslip you legend.

that penalty from O'Gara is exactly what someone like Hook needs to look at, maximising the distance from the penalty. It's small things like that which can prove crucial but then Flannery makes a ball of the lineout.

I'm in a state of shock at this Chabal performance, didn't think he had it in him but fair play to him after his last few games here.

Beauxis drop sets up the second half beautifully

maybe I'm just getting overly excited here, but that has been a bloody good game of rugby. Any impartial viewers to tell me likewise?

Yea Chabal has been immense, for France Harinordiquy,Chabal and Poitrenaud have stood out. For Ireland,Kearney,Heaslip and Flannery have been immense.

Great first half, 50 times better than the first game.
